Does anyone else hate using a weed grinder? This is a discussion I’ve had with many people during sessions. Personally i hate the texture of weed out of a grinder and prefer breaking it up by hand. Thoughts? Opinions?

Idk never needed a grinder but I've been a mechanic and a farmer all my life and I can crush soup cans with my hands so there's that 🤣

One more for good messure:

Despite all the shit that went down, this hash seems to be excellent. Best one in many years.

(sorry for spamming my shit here. seems to help me at the moment though)

What ever helps you get through it bud, I think for the most part the people who post regularly on the trainwreck are like a big stoner family, much love from the community. Glad you were blessed with some hash to help you get through it.

I love 90% of it... the arms creep me out a little bit 😅 Mostly just the other set of partial arms creeping off the bottom of the tray, everything below the elbows just looks so wrong 🤣

Got a couple of the outdoor girls In Their forever homes.

youre probably going to end up wishing you planted those further apart lol. But it is already June, so maybe not, but ill bet probably. Depends on the genetics lol.

depends entirely on the flower.

If its a well cured dense little og kinda bud at 60% rh or less, and its going in a pipe or a bowl, yea ill grind it if the grinder has been kept relatively clean.

Its its fluffier buds, or im rolling a doobie, i just stab that shit with a bobbie pin or dab tool while holding it between thumb and finger until it falls apart then roll it up lol.

most of the time, no, i dont use a grinder. i like my stab it til it falls apart method, it doesnt leave any kief behind, and you dont get a bunch of skin oil either, and i dont smoke constantly enough for that to be a real inconvenience.

Power came back on, all of its own free will about five mins ago. And no one even showed up

All it took was mom calling and cussing and letting em know we're on our way to speak in person.

Badd bing badda boom, power back on in ten mins flat and they never even had to come back out 🤔

Sounds like someone shut off the wrong fuckin house and is trying to hide the fuck up.... Pricks.
Go out after dark and see which neighbors house is pitch black, then you’ll know.

Its a mystery. I believe about 20% show mutations
Seriously doubt if it's that high (pun intended). There's always variation within any species which isn't genetic mutation. I've personally seen relatively few actual mutations, if any. The red/purple I've been growing for is a variation (as Frank Zappa would say) on a basic theme.

Several decades ago, when I first injured my back I raised Bettas and Angelfish. I was able to produce a pure black bodied with a turquoise faced Angelfish. I was lucky the genes lined up in my favor but I did, over successive generations choose only those pheno types that displayed the colors I was looking to produce in different percentages. After 5-6 years brother and sister bred together would produce about 70% miniature copies, with some variation of course of themselves and the rest were throwbacks to their recesive genes still in-coded in all their brothers and sisters and still, of course showing up. Hundreds or maybe thousands of more generations to get to 99+% like goldfish.

In the literally tens of thousands of fish fry I looked at I did see a few mutations and ALL (I can't stress this enough) were deadly. Zero mutation fish survived.

A variation, genes align to produce or allow for a difference in two plants or animals or any living thing is not a mutation. Most genome mutations are deadly. A look at Goldfish, all the different phenos and names being given them are all the same species of fish, Carassius auratus. Selective breeding for millions of generations has produced all these variations. Crazy with all the different pheno variation we see that they are all still considered the same fish😉

I like them, but I prefer a larger grinder smaller ones are a pain in the ass to use. My newest grinder doesn’t have a screen, it just drops into the bottom layer. I have one of those wak it grinders, that’ll pulverize the buds into dust if you use it too long.

I really miss planting in the ground. I got fking gophers that miss it too🤣

They’re basically what the average American community was like prior to the Industrial Revolution, except heavily focused on religion and traditional values. They shun the use of electricity, but it’s really confusing to pull into a McDonald’s in pulaski ny and see a horse and buggy tied to a hitching post.
My girlfriend says that I’ve got a sophomoric sense of humor, so to prove her right here’s the first thing I thought of when @Thatoneguyyouknow_ mentioned the Amish:

The Amish Mennonites will use products of culture if the use of it can ease a genuine burden, and if that commodity being used can be maintained and supported by a traditionalist set of skills.

Most Mennonites will use tractors and they convert them to biodiesel or ethanol that they make themselves from their own crops.

And the McDonals thing may be less confusing after this, the McDonalds in kentucky and TN will give the mennonites bags of ice for free because they often have to buggy or tractor several miles to their produce distribution stands and stuff to drop off loads of stuff to sell, and they do not have the ability to manufacture their own ice in most cases. A single bag of ice can b the difference between wilty, unsellable kale and melted dairy products, and perfect produce when it takes you 2 1/2 hours to go 12 miles and its sunny and 95 degrees lol.

Mennonites will even buy plane tickets if it sufficiently eases a genuine burden they are having to handle, because that flight probably had empty seats on it anyway.

The Mennonites are like Amish + a bit of logic and reason lol. Big Amish was definitely a Mennonite. His tractor smelled like a burger king parking lot 🤣 💚

Believe me, i asked why/how he was using a tractor if he was amish, was my biggest confusion. I got whole run-down on traditionalist Amish vs the Amish Mennonites.

make a big cylinder cage of 1/4" chik wire. A cylinder like a foot deep, and 3-4 ft wide.

Bury that shit in the ground sticking out about an inch above the soil. Itll keep the gophers off your main root ball for 2-3 seasons at a time.

Thats what my cousins up in Michigan do about the gophers. It works beautifully. The surface fiber roots dont even notice its there. The gopher mounds will go right up to the chick wire, then go right around it. They do not go through it till it rusts away.

I use a hand grinder and sicsors and my hands/fingers. I roll a LOT of J's and find this works well for me😉

Yeah, I've tried it and the damn steel rots in 1-2 years. Even made sheet metal rounds the size of 5 gallon buckets that hold up well but the gophers end up digging up through the chain link, little fkers🤬

I tried growing giant pumpkins in the heavy duty soda crates and those shits ate a hole in the bottom within a few weeks🤣

you guys must have beefier gophers. In michigan theyre about the size of a small rat lol. And yea, you gotta replace the chik wire ever few years up north, surprised its not any longer out west.

Oh yea, because you have to water your plants no matter where you are. Out west you actually have to water even more often. Total brain fart 🤣 💚.

I just got some bad news. As the folks from England would say, I'm gutted. An old friend collapsed and according to the docs at the hospital, she has loung cancer at terminal stage. She's an old family friend. I was only about 7 years old when she met her husband, who is one of the oldest family friends. My dad knew him since the mid 70s or so. Really sad news.

Smoking that pharmacy Kush for a couple of days left me in kind of a dazed state - so this seems even more unreal than it actually is. The last I smoked was Monday night and I still woke up tired and kinda fucked up today. If my own weed would be like that also, I would really consider stopping with weed altogether.
I'm sorry for the pain you are feeling.

It's good to take a break from cannabis, get your tolerance levels back in check.

It's helpful to have a cleansing period.

Prayers for your friend. 🙏🏼☮️🕉️
