Something "looked wrong" about this to me all day but what it was just hit me. It needed more holes!

Let's see if it survives until the 23rd. I'm planning 3 more cuts from the other plants in the tent before Thursday that I may also do this way. If I can clone like this without the plugs and the dome that would be great. I've done it like this before in a glass mason jar, but with much older/woody cuttings.

Not much to report over here, defoliated some clutter and the larger one in the back got topped again. Auto watering is working like a charm but leaving me with not much to do for days at a time lol.

I culled the runt in the kratky jar to give the bigger one a chance. I should know better putting two in the same container, one always becomes dominant over the other. I'll flip them all a week from tomorrow.

So when I pulled the little kratky jar plant out, I noticed it's stem was really rigid for being so thin and young. It wouldn't snap though when I tried to bend it. I noticed afterwards that it has that thin, papery outer layer like you get at the base of mature plants, I must have ripped it open when I bent it.

I might have given them too much silica idk, the cotyledons are fried too and that's not good. I'm gonna give the surviving one a fresh water change tonight.

I also fucked up on the ACI control set up. Currently can only hook up my humidifier. I don't think this controller is compatible with the old molex fans.

The dongle they sent is male but so is the cord on my old cloudline fan. I'm so confused.

I think they like their new watering regimen more than I do. Lights off temp is still hotter than lights on which is never great but just a fact of life right now.

This sherbet is my fav so far, her health and structure has been the best so far. Even the kratky jar is doing ok with 85° water inside. Who woulda thunk it eh?

The spotted lantern fly situation here is out of control. The neighbors have a tree of heaven and my yard is swarming with them but so far zero inside the shed. Every morning is like a murder marathon. Spray and squish, spray and squish it never ends!

I'd try to help but mines different with different plugs. I have the ai one which is kind of confusing. Don't think it uses a dongle.

Oh i see now! Damn! Just prolongs things a bit, but I’ll bet you can get things swapped out? ACI is a pretty cool company and might be able to help a little with it.

I agree and I'm a big supporter!! I'm happy right now with just the automation on the humidifier to start because it was either on or off before! It's also really nice to have the trace and see what's going on when I'm not staring at it haha

One of the coolest features is the temp highs and lows alarms! Set it up when i first got it and never thought anything of it again until the last month! Hahaha. Hands down saved my plants! : )

I completely understand your appreciation of the automation! : ) im sure I could use the “ai” unit but im just happy having what control with th pro 69 i do have! It gives me something to monitor through out the day lol!

Is this kratky or auto watering?

Plain water on the bottom, 1:1:1 coco, compost and perlite on top. So far the top has gotten just water.

How long do you think it can go like this before I have to feed it? And can the small amount of roots in the pot feed the plant while the majority of the rest are underwater?

I was going by the ai but didn't really trust it lol. One day I might use it. I should probably set up the alarms. My humidity spiked to 80% and I didn't catch it until the next day.

I cleaned the algae out of the jar with some fresh water and wrapped it in a fabric pot. If I'm gonna take this plant seriously gotta at least treat them right!
