As you grow you will see patterns. The primary stem is one of those things. Always leave that stem a way out where you can exchange horizontal movement for vertical hight. One of the things I found out is my patent pending stair stem main stem training method.
When you have a main stem in veg give that thing a double stair step. You bend it 2 times in about a 6-8 inch distance.
Now if the damn thing overgrows the rest you can lasso the top and pull it down. The stair stem gives it some flexibility so a supercrop situation does not break a stem. It works on both my autos I trained like photos in fact is you have seen my pics you have seen the stair step. It's right in the middle of the plant all purple stems looking thing.

Update
Fed both younger plants 1.4 liters foop at week 4 mix adjusted to 6.33
Did top dress an additional 3/4 cup EWC on both plants. Both these plants look to have stopped the fade and one has some new growth nice and green. Did not loose any sugars and one plant has 50% of fans remaining even some at node 3.

Now we hope we did not overswing.
Will do front older in a bit but really sore today. Yesterday I did 4 batteries on the trimmer and even some around the pond. This is the most I have done since my l3-5 fusion

Love the look of these autos trained like an auto.

Update.
Fed last plant this rotation front left older 1.3 liter foop at week 8 nutes pH to 6.34
No amendments plant is close.
Internal back side trics.

Notes
Last night during inspection I came across yet another pattern for cannabis growth.
MY current close to harvest plants have some yield reductions due to an unforseen reason
Several of my flowers are at an angle to vertical. Not much most less than 30 degrees, none of them are laying down just at an angle.
Well as it turns out this creates a pretty good dead spot on the flower for light. 2 of the flower actually have a missing growth area and the stem is visible like a 3/4 flower pattern
As it turns out this needs to be handled when the plant is still flexible and can be moved, not week 8 of flower.
Note to not allow leaning flowers and to tie up or down whatever keeps them missiles vertical.

84 days in
Looks like I miss counted a week LOL.
It's almost like I do all this shit like I am high or something.
Flowers are retracting and bunching up. The stems are closing up and the pattern for the lights is off but they can not be moved. Will check trics today and just internal. I have good amber on outside of flowers so checking to ensure all organic most of the inners are cloudy
One thing I am very happy with is bud density. The White Widow was all airy because humidity was not well controlled and I ran the duct at 10 for the last 3 weeks due to a daytime of 55 and a night time of almost 60%. This has been fixed and I ran almost all of this flower run from 52% to 45% humidity. The choice to reduce temps did not appear to hinder growth as the biggest issue these 2 plants was training. Like really wrong training. The second batch looking good and will be all alone in the tent soon with side lighting and with the 2nd top dress I hope the sugar leaves stay intact for these plants.
The topped younger plants is so far advanced over the untopped plant. The hormone boost is a must for yield increase and will be done on the next run at node 6 on well formed well developed plants and 5 at the first sign of preflower on lagging plants.

Update
Defolled a little on younger plants. They are looking good. Have amended 2 times with EWC and the fade has not reached sugar leaves and is very much slowing down.

I am calling it done at 84 days above ground. Will let the pots dry down and pull em.
Time to out drying tent up and get ready for side lighting the last 2 plants for 4-5 weeks

Update
First 2 plants chopped and in the drying tent at 62% rh and whatever the basement is, 66-68 f
440 grams wet trimmed. Some stem weight.

Last 2 plants put under main light and set up sidelights. 37% all panels. Tops at 42-38 k all sides at 35k.

Thoughts on grow.
Need to fabricate some floor to ceiling side mounts for the 150 units. Must pivot 30 degrees all 4 axis.
Duct the tent exhaust into the laundry area with carbon filter relocated out of lung room.
Update hygrometer 2 of the outstanding cubes are now dead.
Fabricate a more permanent solution for fake floor air retention for cross flow ventilation.
Math out if I have enough foop for 6 plants for the next run.
Maintain nitrogen top dress through week 8.
Veg topdress ensure soil conditioner does not have all the EWC on the top.
Watch DLI but get light up quickly. From node 3 on out at 4ok but this was not pushed due to split plant ages. Dli was 36 but plant loved it 18-6
Veg temps 78 degrees when pulling back for flower can wait until fuzzies are replaced with bud stacking then to 75. Humidity 75 in seedling 65 veg 50 by mid flower and 47 by week 7.
Love to see a 10 degree drop overnight
For stretchy bitches top at 5. For squat top at 7 but before the end of week 4 regardless.
A one direction pull does not work with this pheno and type ( auto ) when training use the crown method but try to turn the main stem outward after topping. Holding down the stems making them grow outward and then at node 3 and 6 giving those nodes a 1/4 turn with a fixture so they no longer line up makes fan leaf placement easier.
Base mix will up to 4 cups perlite. 75% happy frog 25% Ocean Forest. Top dress week 3 and 6 with soil conditioner. Top dress with EWC 1 cup week 7 and 9. Foop nutes from pistle emergence. pH adjusted to 6.3 following schedule.
Cal mag not needed at all.
Watch for gnants but ensuring your dirt should make this easier.

Update
Ferted both plants 1.8 liters foop at week 4 strength pH adjusted to 6.26.
Placed topped plant on a 2 gallon bucket and it's withing an inch of the untopped plant.
Tops at 41k lux. Side lighting at 34k lux.
Remaining at 75/47% for grow.
I do not want to reduce lights anymore if the plants go another 3 inches I will have to drop the floor down.

Drying tent 2 day trace.
Cube sensors for the win.

When servicing the humidifier the system tends to overswing.
No carbon filter on drying tent means house smells like a greenhouse. It's not a skunky pheno just smells like plants.

Update
Seeing a huge difference in a lot of data points from the topped to untopped plant. I am glad I did this experiment but I hope it does not delay harvest to much.
The huge difference is in the flowering of the plant. Until topping they were very close but after the progression has been much quicker and the topped plant shows more age into flowering than the untopped plant. I did not top either of the last 2 AF and this showed in the time for full development
Topped.

This plant is still moving and at fur only. It looks to be 2 weeks behind the other plants but is 7 inches taller than the topped plant.
The crown top and the missile. It's kinda funny but when I look at the missile and how deep into the plant the fur run goes and I count the crown runs together it appears both are about 14 inches long.

Glad I could do this as an experiment but will not be letting plants run wild next grow.

Looking good. I have an apple fritter going now. Just starting to show pre flower. You may have said it but what seed bank did you get yours from?

ILGM were the first 2 phenos I purchased. 20 seeds each time for 99 on sale both times. White widow photo and the AF autos. Just learning
Saw no reason to buy a cultivar strain for 45 bucks for 3 seeds.

Yea definitely makes sense.im new to autos myself and seed prices are crazy lol. If you have Facebook look up the group growlahoma. Or go to growlahoma.net. I’m not affiliated with him in anyway. I just like letting people know there’s other options. It’s an auto flower breeder that has some very good genetics. And he’s super cheap. He sells 5 packs for $20 but you’ll get 10+ in each pack. I’m pretty sure I bought every strain he has lol. Haven’t had 1 seed not germinate from him and I’ve done like 10 different strains.

What is your average yield on an average auto. I am not basing my expectations on my first 2 auto grows which is just one really long grow weeks apart. 440grams wet for 2 plants is not worth running. I know I am doing better with the 2nd set of 2 but it is also an experiment with lights and such to prep for a big 2 tent 6 auto run. After that based on numbers I will go back to photos and prolly look at some better genetics.
Once I find 2 that I like I will do the clone thing as everybody tells me it's not that hard. I just have not turned on the research mode for cloning still working on top dress timing and extending nitrogen much farther into the grow. I also think my soil mix needs more perlite as I did not get even close to 2 liters per feed this last run and still had a 4 day refert cycle based on pot weight.

Update
Took a small run of flowers like tiny 1 gm with a 3 day dry and dried it overnight on a tray.
Already hay or green smell gone. No flavor but not unexpected. The biggest of the flowers ( like a 1/2 inch) had few oily calyxes and that is a very good sign.
First smoke of the day so they always hits harder but it's a nice high. After a few minutes It is like a blanket over my thoughts and nice humm.
Now gunna stop that and let em dry.
Tent doing a fine job 1.4 vdp for days. Huge humidity bowl in the Ohio valley so to keep humidity below 48% controller allowed temp to float up to 71 overnight.
Tops 40-42k sides 32-28 k rotated plants due to side lighting.

Photo dump.
