The girlfriend bought an a5 convertible last year and its been nothing but trouble since, one of the issues was a recall about the airbags essentially becoming a claymore mine upon deployment. Which really sucks because we barely got any use out of the car with the issues it had last summer and now it’s gotta go to the dealer for the recall.

How many people here know that in your owners manual the airbag is recommended for replacement at 10 years? The manufacturers should have gotten together WHEN FORCED BY A GOVERNMENT to install new technology and demanded the replacement at 8 years. The problem is the manufacturers are enemies. Not just the other team all the manufacturers would like to put all of the others out of business. This makes a United front in the face of government overreach impossible.

Here is a good story about " the law "
About 45 years ago a dirt bag was stealing a J3 cub from a municipal grass airstrip. The owner of the vehicle parked his tractor 1/2 way down the strip. The dirt bag ran into the tractor and was injured.
In court it was revealed that with one passenger the J3 cub had to be piloted from the rear seat due to weight and balance issues . This means the cub needs to be turned right and left during takeoff to ensure a view of the forward arc of movement by looking out the doorway.
So out of all the participants, guy who owned plane and guy who steals plane and guys who built plane the reason for the accident was found to be a defective design that did not allow forward view. A room full of our average citizens trying to place blame on a technical issue for a technology that was cutting edge in 1938 is a ridiculous situation.
Think about how smart the average person is and then realize that 1/2 of them are dumber than THAT low benchmark

Following the Takata airbag scandal, which left 18 dead and around 30 injured, I have just taken the Stellantis group to court. Give me money

They don’t have any need to be replaced as mentioned later in this thread. Srs components have or had at least a lifetime warranty. Seatbelts airbags all covered. My vehicles of the 3 two were on the recall. I have multiple of these cars and steering wheels and I don’t what airbag went to what. So anyway I had Honda do the recall and they said it’s not a takata bag. I have like five of them and none say who’s the manufacturer is. So they replaced the torx with longer ones that are longer and sharper. Later I got a srs light and no horn. Pulled the wheel off and first thing I noticed is the reel doesn’t have the foam. I’ve had this car forever. Upon closer inspection my stock car has a srs reel that has a repaired wire for a aftermarket steering and it’s not my srs reel in the first place . The second one same they didn’t change the airbag and added the sharper shrapnel torx. That car I got a hidden note from the tech and his digits trying to buy it . The torx sold at the dealership as the part number for the car are still a different part number from the recall.

I really wish I had taken pics of the leaves when they were looking their worst to show what a serious salt issue looks like, especially those dark blotchy calcium deprived leaves that started creeping up the plant and kept going a while longer even after the fix. EC was 9.9+ (as high as the meter went). We don't "flush" soil. Who the fuck came up with that? Okay fine we call it periodic heavy waterings and nobody really tells you to do this shit you find out the hard way and then when someone says you dont flush soil you really want to bitch slap them and say the hell you don't.

I started these three particular clones as monsters, vegged them, started to flower them and then brought them back to veg. This was deliberate. I was aiming for the new branch growth to start coming out of the buds and then fip it back to let new buds set on those branches. Playing chicken with the photoperiod gods for a very specific foxtailing effect, kinda sorta. Not sure what it will wind up doing or if it will work but I want a front seat for the show. I ran three because I figured I'd probably screw one up along the way and really wanted more than "N of 1" data.
