I'm sad to see you loose so many plants when you fight so hard for them! Your resilience and determination inspires me to do better though. I did the opposite of you and got lazy with my IPM, so it's likely I'm loosing this whole run to the broad mites.

With the way you take care of your plants you'll do amazing in a more controlled environment. If shoveling a little snow is the price to pay then that doesn't seem like a bad deal!

Yes I got them. Loosing the battle. Did you know that broad mites also have poison saliva that affects the plant even after the mites are gone? I didn't. Little fuckers are still hard to see with 100x magnification.

Roma's don't make a lot of seed. Just meaty tomato with little juice or seed. One of the best for sandwiches.

And Marinara. Although I prefer a nice Cherokee or Beefsteak for a sandwich and I love tomato sandwiches. We practically live on them in the summer. We really do enjoy our tomatoes. We buy a simple cheese pizza (usually Red Baron because they are cheap) and doctor them up with onion, peppers, and tomato that we grow. Make soup, relish, marinara and of course just plain canned tomatoes. My favorite is a no meat sandwich of cheese, pepper, cucumber, onion, mayo and some fresh ripe mater!

Definitely root related. Trunk hasn't been girdled? Maybe just below the surface. Damn.
My plants last year that suffered with Verticillium slowly died, that looks over night. Geeze.

The trunk of the plant is good. Nothing unusual. So that’s why I believe it’s something underground…?

I freeze a bunch of Roma’s for the winter. Nothing better. Used to freeze every kind of tomato, beefsteaks and the rest make watery sauce.just started making Rocco DiSpirito pomodoro sauce, simple and good. He buys his tomatoes from my friend for his restaurant out here.

I just googled Amish paste tomato. Yes. This is definitely what I have. You won’t be disappointed.

I uprooted the last of our tomatoes, we had roma and beefsteak and got a few good ones but the problem is these plants needed more space. Next time they'll go in 15 or 25 gal bags and sit in between and/or on the other side of the raised beds. I've been staking out the greenhouse cover I'm building to keep it as square as possible.

spray them with a 50/50 mix of 99% isopropyl and water a couple times,.. i’ve killed broad mites this way in only 2 soakings,. yes it’s ok to spray during flower

It’s possible. All happened after the 37 degree cold night. Looked great up until then.

Nothing unusual, just the rodent tunnels. (which I stepped down to collapse them.)

Well im freaking beyond antsy in my pantsy’s! If i really stop and think about it, id just be taking plants down to take them down the one i want is still just not quite there. im more than likely going to set up the easy ups over them tomorrow evening in prep for the rains Monday and Tuesday. the baked buds are still hit’n though! F’n bugs! this outdoor game isnt for the soft hearted thats for sure! and I’ve had a pretty effortless season compared to some here!

This should also get aphids and would work great for my plants in the greenhouse and save me $ on neem.

AND remember to cover your soil when spraying down with the iso 50/50 mix!! It can often lay a beat'n on those roots and damage your plants

yes this ^^^^^^^^^
forgot about that, though that’s usually if you have to spray the whole plant,. if your just spraying areas with bud rot than you’ll be fine,.

Worked on mealybugs for me as well.
