Damn dude! Those cured nuggets look great! Ah it's almost kind of sad to see that last pic of the 600w set up in the bathroom. I remember that thing from a year ago haha.

I am definitive liking that OG mom. She looks stacked for sure. I have heard you say that you "inject" great white into your soil plants before and now I see it again. I always just put it in my nutrient solution and water it in but maybe your method is more effective. Do you use a syringe and literally administer the great white close to the rhizosphere?

Thx for the coco info and sticking through all my lengthy journals Justiceman! This one is def gonna be perpetual... Yeah I ended up just watering/feeding with an extreme amount of runoff in the coco pots... As for Great White injections, I could use a syringe if my rhizosphere were small in relation to the pot, but I simply pour slowly around the base of the plant every couple weeks in soil... :thinking

Shady you've been a busy man with all that trimming. But the fruits of your labor will pay off. Looking forward to seeing the bedroom setup, aside from the veg/mom tent will you be using the room for flower too? Or is the 600 going into the tent?

Hey Socachi... I was gonna rant about my game plan and quote myself, but I'm too lit from that bong rip... :stonedsmilie: So yeah, when I have the funds, I will move the 600W to the bedroom, add a 1000W, place a portable A/C in the bathroom, drain it to the tub and exhaust it, and both hoods through the bathroom directly to the attic. The Shady Veg Station will be placed inside the mother tent and most of the mothers will be flowered prob under the 1000W as Round 5, Section B. :nerd

Shady how different or similar are the aromas of your kushes and mystery buds?

They are all very different.... So far, the 707 HB has a sweet earthy aroma, the Mystery Kush has a faint coffee aroma with more of a kush lingering, the Master x Bubba is very close to the Bubba Kush with a strong coffee smell. So far I've only smoked the Master x Bubba...

Shady Round 5 Begins… with veg feedings.

Before I begin Round 5, I must note that Round 4 is currently curing nicely, and I’ve been a bean counter on my 2nd Round… So here's the bean count from Round 4, all strains are the mothers and likely crossed by the 707 Headband's late nubbins:

Bubba Kush = 13
Double Underdawg #4 = 1
Double Underdawg #1 = 8
Chemdog's Sis #2 = 4
707 Headband = 8

The last couple days of mixing nutes was actually easier due to my labeling system. All the veggin’ soil plants were fed the following mix:

While I was at it, I premixed all of Round 5’s first feedings in anticipation of watering immediately after transplanting. Here’s the mix for the MegaGarden:

Then as a shady experiment, I decided to use Great White on the plants in the 3x3 tray with the following mix in my 3 gal container and omitted using Zone (essentially the first feeding immediately after transplant):

Clearly that wasn’t going to be enough to get 8, 2 gal smart pots of coco w/40% chunky perlite, plus the 8 hydroton pots properly watered, so I also mixed two 5 gal buckets w/o Great White to hand water the pots completely:

I can’t wait to setup an automated system, but I’m concerned about recycling the nutes due to the runoff PPM’s from the coco pots… It’s consistently higher than the hydroton pots, even with an extreme amount of runoff; then again it’s only been two days of veg before I flip the switch on Round 5 tomorrow.

To recap Round 5 will begin officially tomorrow with 3 of my fav strains in coco (Master x Bubba, Double Underdawg Bx1, and OG Kush) and 14 seedlings to be sexed in hydroton (Blue Hellfire x Kali Mist, Sensi Skunk, Raskal’s OG, and Chem Valley Kush). So far they’ve all been veggin’ under the HPS for 2 days, but only one has already popped a few pistils… Raskal’s OG #2…

I would imagine that the coco run off ppm would be higher because it has a higher Cation Exchange Capacity then hydroton, so it has a similarity closer to soil in that aspect. Hmmm that run off recycling is a good question when you are running two different types of medium in the same table. I can see why you would be concerned if it was automated. I think if you want it automated and you don't want too much salt build up in the coco, or lack of nutes in the hydroton you should probably just do only one type of medium per table.

Ahaa! You snuck by me with that post... Dude, I'm so thrilled that the veg station is baren. It's really nice to have it somewhat manageable again... BTW, the coco runoff is dropping and I think it may go lower over the next few days... meaning incoming and runoff PPM's should be very close except for what the plants are eating and leaving behind, but we shall see. :smirk

There’s a slight def of Phosphorus, Magnesium, and Calcium as evidenced by the twisting leaves, lime green new growth, red stems and petioles, but we shall see what happens over the next few days…

Right on CAPO! It was really easy to do the animated GIF...using Photoshop layers, magnetic lasso, cutout filter, Image Ready, and then save optimized as an Animated GIF... All in that order.

As for the the smoke, I usually have to stay away from my OG's and Chem's until evening or the end of the day cuz they hit hard! I love them... But sallies would be great for the occasional wake and bake, and afternoon sesh...
