What's good bro? Let's see some picts... There's still time to get more strains before your next round or maybe you lose a week to have the selection that you want to work with for the next 3 months. :thinking

Ht what's shaken gro. I understand busy I've been trimming for the past 2 days. Look forward to seeing some new pics from you soon.

Nothing too new has been happening, I just got a few clones vegging, so it is the same ol. I barely have time to mix the nutes and feed them but definitely soon I will toss up some pics. Gonna start the 12/12 in about 11 days. Even though there are no limits I am going to only bloom 6-8, as that will be the safest. This run will be CJ only. TBH CJ is a champion when it comes to veg so one can do with very low numbers of plants.

Yeah your CJ was kick ass last time. But lets see some pics bro, what do those girls in veg look like. How long have they been in veg? :wondering

Took some quick snaps for you.

Big Casey Jones and little Casey Jones.

CJ bud with CJ bubble tonight for my aches.

Very nice... Just wondering how often you flush your coco? :wondering I've been measuring my runoff and it's almost been a week with the runoff being about 200 PPM higher... Hmmm, I need to run some bubble...

this round I have been watering the big caseys without run-off for three weeks. probably a flush with 30% run-off before I flip.

If the nutes dosing/timing is on, there should be very little salt build up, so flushing seemed kind of a waste to me and tbh in my situ, flushing is always a hassle.

I would suggest a good flush with 30% percent run-off every 1-2 weeks, depending on many factors.

If the plants look good keep going without the flush, but every 2 weeks do it anyways, even if the plants look good.

Oh yeah this is important, when you are checking the run-off from coco, you are looking for a ball park figure, because run-off reading from coco can be very unreliable at times due to CEC, and various other chemical reactions.

Hey HT glad to see you got some pics up. CJ is lookin nice but I do notice a little red stem IMHO I believe that may be a Potassium deficiency.

Speaking of coco, why does it need to be flushed so often?

im late to the party but i'm here looking nice as always HT cant wait to see these flowered out 1st 3 pics are of my cj at about 8 weeks 4th is some Chemdog D at about 4 weeks just a lil something for you to compare with etc

Speaking of coco, why does it need to be flushed so often?

i think its because it gives a chemical runoff that upsets the normal nute balance i heard it need more cal/mag than soil or hydro

this should answer why coco need so be flushed so much

Let’s have a look at coco coir. It starts out with a better pH of 5.5. But the problem with this medium is that
magnesium and calcium binds to coco and doesn’t want to easily release. And that’s not good. Your plants need to be
able to get to those nutrients.
Now if you add dolomite lime, as a lot of companies out there will do because dolomite is cheap to use and made
up of magnesium and calcium carbonate and a source of alkalinity, that will eventually raise your growing mediums pH
and this is not what you want to do. So what do you do? You would solve the problem by adding chelated calcium and
magnesium either to the coir or in the base nutrients.
Unfortunately, other nutrient companies won’t do this because of the very high added expense, but that is exactly
what we put in all the base nutrients at Advanced Nutrients. However Advanced Nutrients doesn’t make a specific coco
nutrient yet.
Coco coir also has a lot of potassium so you’ll
need to use a fertilizer with reduced potassium so you
don’t end up with potassium toxicity.
There is one other thing to be aware of: low quality
coconut husks are often soaked in salt water as part of
the manufacturing process to break down the husks and
quite often not properly flushed by the coir manufacturer
overseas.
You’ll need to make sure that the extra salt is
flushed out of your medium with water by either yourself
or the manufacturer you’re buying it from before using
it.
Coco coir

Damn bender, that joint would put me down for a minute. Very nice!! :) I really like the scrog work with that individual screen.

Thanks fellows.

@ raider, you would be surprised, that CJ is very uplifting.
@ mikegt, all your concerns are fair, however all those issues are easily resolved, you can see raider's grow and my grow we are both in coco experiencing no nute problems.

On that note, I put in crap load of hours researching online, calling nute companies, talking to reps, discussing with a lot of other forum members, and of course I did tons of small experiments in the last six months.

So here is the final schedule. I just fed my girls the veg nutes and they look healthier than ever. They all experienced and huge shock when I sprayed them with DM penetrator and green cure. Please don't mix them especially in tap water.

So you do 5 ml/gal of CalMag through Week 9? Also on the Great White and Roots Excelurator... Do you apply these for a single watering or throughout the indicated week? :wondering

Anyways... What's the deal? Let's see some veg or scrog shots... :tongueout

na i copied and pasted that bro from some shit i had about ph etc that was just a breakdown of coco by no means was i saying im against coco everything has + and - i was just trying to answer his question about coco needing flush or watever it was

and yeah where the shots at ??

It has been a while since an update, just way too busy with life. So here it is. :party0033:

Some OG Head shots at day 51, it is already flushing, plan to chop it at day 55. Since I used bush master last round and took the girl to day 70 it got really screwed up. I reckon I need to cut the plant earlier, since this was also fed bush master to control the notorious OG stretch. Cannot wait 4 more days. Smells damn amazing, straight lysol, lemon, coffee like smell. extremely sticky. already sampled a piece I cut on day 49 and it was smooth even in the peak of the PK boost.

Third time growing this unknown cut, it is for sure OG dominant, but it def got some head band and bubba in it. Each time she looked different, the main difference was the timing of the nutes.

this time the smell is the strongest, and the PK booster was started in the 4th week. Last time the PK booster was started the PK booster at 2 weeks and the smell and flavor was lost.

Some Casey, Chemdog D, Grape Rom, Grapefruit Haze, LA Skunks, and Slee Skunk veg shot.

I don't follow the scheduled down to the dot, I usually go by what the girls need, but that rounds, they seemed to be wanting cal-mag till before the flush.

Great white is just once in the mentioned week. Everything else gets fed in every watering.

You asked for shots, you got em man.

Thanks MGT. I didn't know it was a copy and paste, anyways all that info is correct and necessary to learn to grow in coco.

Your casey looks so diff from mine, but our Chemdog D's very alike.

I cannot wait to flower mine.

BTW, I think you might be mistaken, Casey has already been pulled a few weeks ago. That one picture with large colas is actually the OG.

Tell me how you like using that trimmer. I think I will have to pick it up.

HT those are some great lookin nugs you got there. :sign0005: I'm curious the OG is typically a 70 day plant why you pullin her so early? Isn't it when the fan leaves start turning yellow that it triggers the plant to fight for survival and the trichs go into overdrive?

Finally we see the elusive OG Kush again... :tongue0011: IMHO, it honestly looks like you've given too much Nitrogen which is causing the clawing of the leaves. CalMag has 2% N... Also I can see heat moisture stress... I'm sure you already know this by the slight raised, serrated leaf edges... :thinking

I must say that the CJ looks on point and those metal scrogs are badass!!! :cool

Thanks man, i am pulling her early due to bushmaster. it is supposed to finish your product 1-3 week earlier. I didn't like her at day 70, but at 55 I was in love.

I feel you on the issues with OG. TBH I am surprised the OG turned out this good, I fought severe temperatures varying from 50-100 degrees , plus a very odd light cycle since my ballast broke. I know CJ would have hermied in that situ but the OG stood strong. Thanks to green cure the PM was dealt with but other than OG's love for PM it is a hardy bitch.

As my old buddy RollnJ explained to me that the amazing stability makes OG a very prized strain.

Last time I fed the OG way more cal-mag but didn't have this clawing. What other factor besides the nitrogen can cause this, I haved seen such clawing before, and have fed way harder than I fed this girl. Any more input on this matter would be appreciated.

Yeah I am very happy with all my girls in the veg, they are looking ready to take off in bloom.

Sooo soooo excited to see Chemdog D and grape rom in bloom.
