Get back from the clinic the day after I made 5 different rosins. Couldn’t help myself and tried the lemon tree. WOW, never had such a sweet hit. Took a second hit and needed a breathing treatment again. View attachment 2594036

Thank hod for edibles!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love that waxy look! I’ll bet it dabs really well and tastes great too!😎 ; )

got a press with the HashPlant x Northern Lights from TGR. the “hemp seeds” from china!😳🤣 it is really piney! like REALLY piney! with a sweet, or lemon hint? yielded right under a gram with the 7grams in the 120 bag. the one thing i did differently with this press was didnt kill it at the end, which im going to play around with a couple 3.5 gram pulls. FIRST HONEY RUN ALSO!😆

Now we’re getting into the nitty gritty! 🤩

so you are folding both ends over to secure them. they stay put?
yes sir 100%, there's another tech called something like "chottle tech" that uses the collars of bags you've trimmed, so open on both ends open not folding at all. I noticed sometimes a piece of plant matter would be visible in the squish. SO I tried making pucks small enough (3.5g) pre pressing them with a mold, and using those small segments as its own bottle tech. and stretch the bags 3x which is very nice.

GREAT INFO! Im going to try a press with that end piece. Might try and fold the ends just to see if i can keep the flower from coming out the ends?

Thanks Thukuh!✌️

Does it hit any differently vs having not been in the freezer for a month? And again i have to say this stuff is incredible looking!🤩
I haven't tried curing this stuff the freezer yet, I've been trying to get it out of the fresh press stage quickly with as little oxidation as possible I guess. I'll def throw some in the freezer and see how long it takes to butter up if it does!

I found cold curing is really a thing. I dont freeze it. I refrigerate it in an air tight container at around 3C +\- for a minimum of a week. Transitions to wax or crumble. If terps were retained, terps will sweat out and almost 'pool' in the concentrate. Very aromatic and flavorful.

heck yeah! I’ve got the parchment paper with the bits that didnt get picked up. Been in there a few weeks now. Going to go pull a little off and rip! 🤩

I’m going to try and work backwards on this press in regards to output. I need 10gram for a recipe that I make weekly. Burned through all the old rosin so make some new.
So if I get an avg return of 17% from this particular strain I’ll need 59gram of flower.

Went with 65 grams, overnight in a water bath in the warmest place I’ve got.

Have ever noticed more moisture in your collection process off the paper? I pressed some really fresh stuff and it was definitely to fresh. But there were almost like two different consistencies of end rosin in the same press/paper! Couldn’t quite figure it out. It didnt like to be messed with either, unless the tool was frozen, and it was on a cold plate the entire claim🤷‍♂️

i have 100 adapted the place herb in water container method you use! : )

I’ve seen what you’re talking about 🐻, not sure what’s happening there but it tells me it’s too wet.
I’m after that feeling you get when you open the drier and the buds need just one more day to dry. Candy rain is in my drier and she’s perfect to press but too damp to bag up
Got these bags loaded and ready. 65 grams became 70

I cant remember where i read it, it may even be posted here😆 its something along the lines of the percentage of thc vs other plant matter making up the whole of the “rosin” once its pressed, im thinking its some of the extra matter along with moisture.

My question is. Could one achieve the same results if the herb was dried and cured over a month or so time? Pre hydrate via Tupperware to the desired moisture content. Maybe some of that extra matter im thinking of could have time to absorb into the plant and change a bit resulting in a more, even consistency of rosin? All super stoner thoughts here!🤣

I have this guy, I really need to use it. I have a puffco peak with a custom recycled and all sorts of add ons and I never use it.

I’ve seen some of the stuff you’ve pressed! That thing works great id say. I know thukuh wasn’t impressed with his dulytek : ( I’m not sponsored by them nor have I ever been sent free shit from them to use here. But so far I’m happy with my purchase from them. The foot print is big enough, where when I want to try my hand at pressing a bunch of hash I’ll be able to really hog out! 🤣

“whatcha doin bearwater?”

“ oh just pressing 30 grams of dry sift” 😂

You just described my method 🐻. I presssed fresh back when I started but it’s not worth chasing that moisture. Anything I press these days is cured, >2 months normally

Im going to have to agree with you. I did have one fresh herb that didnt seem to do the watery secondary substance within the rosin🤷‍♂️ but im leaning towards letting that herb cure for that good couple months plays a big factor in all of it. consistency wise and flavor/ head high.
