Its almost like im reading a dirty novel...all talkin bout main stems n bending over them side branches..Mm Mm Mm.It does keep it level. The constant bending over of the main stem will slow the flow of auxin to the side branches so they catch up. If those get too excited, you knock them down too. The plant will keep shuffling hormones around until it's like a bush.
