Looks like you knew how to grow. What happened?! :D

Shit, I'd be following the chart to the T if it gets you those results every time! Props though, looked killa.

ya fuck R/O units! though I do remember adding MG to the mix with that shit. and that was the sugar berry by the way m8

thats my end conclusion no ro next time (except for flush) and I'm def doing a rez change every 7-10 days from now on. not a full swap but at least half.

this is my favorite pic i've ever taken of cannabis

And a DAMN fine pic it is!

just unnecessary and that pic above was grown with straight tap and people in my county do hydro with tap all the time. maybe I'll keep it I dunno

RO only when water sucks, as far as the res changes I like to change every week keeps my mind at ease. Dude your shits lookin bomb with the RO and the shots from the past without bomb also, either way ya know what ya doin. You following the dutch master feed chart or you got you own secret sauce?

i'm in the process of making my way through the thread and really like what i see.
keep up the hard work! my back hurts just looking at all the construction that took place.

ya I actually threw this thing together in a week flat with the help of my father and a few good farmers. Kinda learned to be a jack of all trades before I learned to grow, and boy it sure does pay off

the nug in that pic is using dutchy calc
this run has been at about 2/3 strength
next runshould be back up to the full strength

So after gettin bitched at by rollinendough about dumping nutes straight into the rez and watching mad spikes in ppm I came up with a way to slow release nutrients into my rez.

First attach a float valve. I think it is key to use R/O for mixing nutrients not necessarily for all the water.
On the bottonm of the bucket attache a standard ebb n flow fitting that will accept a 3/4 or 5/8 hose fitting. Then attach a 1/4 barb adapter to the other side.
install a 1/4 line from the bottom and put 1/4 shut off inline.

Fill bucket with 4 gal of water. add desired ml of nutrients. mix well.
Then when its mixed turn off the r/o unit and open the 1/4 shut off on the bottom of the bucket. I have yet to see how fast this would still go but if I can get it to mix the nutrients over the period of even an hour versus just dumping them In I think there would be a great difference.

I'm building this today as soon as I get off work. We shall see how well it works

Shit all I do is mix em up in a couple gallons of water and dump in the rez. But lately Ive been just dumpin in nutes may be that burned my roots shit.

ya I agree, slow releasing them is def way easier on the plants though.

Perfect bro, they'll respect ya for it.

Make sure all pH and nutrient adjustments are done this way. Especially with your background projects. :yes

Too funny.........in my thread I debated going back and forth with using my RO filter or not - flooded my garage a few times by forgetting to turn it off, and my tap water isn't that bad (7.0/125PPMs), but since I already have it, why wouldn't I use it?

Especially for someone like you running RDWC, anything in the water that's not a nutrient is going to limit the amount of DO that your roots can get - any salts reduce the DO that water can hold, and RDWC is all about DO.

Also, regarding the non-rez changeouts - I did two test grows using that method (simply topping off, never changing fully), and I can tell you that I was VERY disappointed with the results.

Was a mixture of laziness and wanting to try it out, but I'll never do that again.

Anyways, just checking in - things look great, and the colors on your last harvest were awesome.

ya for sure. I def don't think you need to change the rez very 7 days as that is a huge waste if you have over 100 gal.

I am now going to be doing rez changes every 14-21 days.

and as for the R/O whatever fuck it.

depending on the time of year it is my water may be 50ppm or it may be 150ppm
either way not concerning what so ever.

Honestly, for two big reasons I've decided to setup my new system drain to waste:

1) I travel a lot, sometimes for more than a week
2) I am fucking lazy, and I know I'll slack on changeouts

There's tons more reasons why I think it makes sense over recirculating, but those are the big ones for me.

Shit my tap water is 200 ppm and it works like a charm. My ro system is laying in storage getting old. I usually go 14-21 days flush as well. You can tell when they want that flush.
Bg
