Three months for 88g under LED
Thank you Tobor, thats all I wanted to know

I could have not taken pics of the dried buds and just called it a bullshit 10 ounces like you did budgrower. Until you post a pic of a plant you grew that is happy and healthy I don't really care what you have to say.

Every pic of your plants you have posted on this site show a plant that has some problem going on. You bought a strange grow box and wall unit that nobody else had any interest in. So little interest that the company is discontinuing them. You bought an Edsel. Plus you couldn't even drive. Yet you want to go about slamming people trying new stuff.

I got roughly 3 ounces. I made a veg mistake and did not fill the screen in an effort to hurry up a test. I think I really only had 1/3 the amount of plant on the screen than I could have. So a much better harvest is on the way.

So even though my final 88 grams is all you wanted to know your plant pictures tell me there is a lot more you need to know.

Thanks for sharing. I look forward to more grows from you.

Who cares about who got what for yield to the degree of being disrespectful. Your sharing your test, not having a whip it out contest hehe. If you like the herb, its freaking great stuff. To hell with the haters and their pathetic excuses and reasons hehe.

Frankly, 3oz a plant is good in my view. I know for all you pros that is not but that is respectable. Myself I use 2oz as a base line.

Yield has so many factors it is not appropriate to value only the yield from a light alone. Lets not get stupid people and act as if we are seeing lab tests. Lets not get stupid and act as if genetics, nutrients, heat, humidity and all the other things that affect yield dont play a role.

You did good and I appreciate the log.

Like I said before, I dont doubt your growing skills.
You did this test for us all to see and make our own conclusions, and I concluded that better results can be achieved with 250w hps in the same space and with less purchase cost.
No need for the personal attack

I am not ashamed of what I yielded. I post them as I grow them. I am totally sick of you popping your head in on this thread and other LED threads with your peanut gallery comments.

You don't like LED's, you will never try an LED... we get it.

some of the nicest buds from an led grow I have seen and the yeild was better than I expected, nice work sir!

I think a SOG style grow may be better to max your yield with this light, rooted clones turned back to 12 right away and lollipopped week 2. If nothing else youd get more crops over the course of a year since you wouldnt have to veg.

Hey Tobor, job well done. I'm glad you too have a changed mind about LED units. I wanted to comment on a post you made about me in response to one of my threads being linked on here. I've worked with that strain, and if I doubled up the plants, the buds density decreased too much for my liking, seemed less potent and tasty and it only yielded slightly more.
I ran about 60-70 watts/sqft and doubling that would bring it to about about ~35watt/sqft. With a MH, I needed it up around 70. I chose the MH for the taste, and potency which I found to be better with that particular strain. I have, and still do primarily flower with HPS but when you've done as much growing/experimenting as I have done, you find some plants respond very well/even better to MH then HPS. It also kept the stretch way down.

Again, good looking grow.

Hello frozenguy. You mean when I said I was going to smash your 137 grams from a 126w? And then I FAILED!!!! LOL!!

Hey I was getting swamped with LED haters in PMs and people popping in on the thread and then LEDgirl didn't visit me and was talking about IC growers. I snapped a bit.

I humbly ask forgiveness Frozenguy. But next time I am kicking your ass. LOL!!

Seriously I am sorry. You were not registered here though so no foul. Now you are new family. Welcome!!

I am making plans to go LED full time.

great grow

thank you for doing this grow I was so informed I had to make an account. I would just like some comments about my ideas as I am a first time grower and would like to get some advice from a pro like yourself. SO I have a space of of about 4by3 and i plan on having a scrog screen of that size. I built a custom ebb and flow table that provides space for 12 plants spaced out 1 cubic feet each I would like to flip veged plants after about 6 weeks. i want to use 4 of these 126watt penatrotors. I am worried that the footprints of the led lights wont be sificent I am also worried that the 1cubic foot per plats is too little space for a scrog. also I read that added cfl to your led grow imporves your yield by alot- is this true? If you can give me any advice on what to do what kinda LST is the best it would be appriceated

Hey ledgrower and welcome aboard. Are you 12 plants gonna be presexed verified females? I think the LEDs work well without any cfl help. CFL can be handy for side lighting with HID lights too.

I also think four 126w units would cover that space nicely. It might need less.

thanks for the quick reply tobor. Yes the plants will start as clones so they will be female. I see you streached 1 plant in a scrog of 2 by 2 so I am just worried that 3 by 4 wont be a big enough space for 12 plant in scrog. you've done a great job on this grow, I know you got to promote this led light since you got it as a freebie to test it but is this the best led out on the market? if you would recommend this led light do you think heat will be an issue since as i will have no ventallation only co2 in the closet also would you recommend 60 or 90 degree lenses for the area i have to cover. agian thank you for the great info on this tread i belive i can do a sucessful first time grow thanks to you

Just read the thread from top to bottom and I thought I'd say thanks Tobor.

Some of your posts on scrogging techs are great insights. I most def. plan a scrog next time exclusively inspired from this thread.

If this was your "quick scrog", I can't wait to see your slow scrog haha!

thanks again man for the pics and info!

LOL 95 degrees!!! If I were you I would never run my plants at 95 degree's. What people need to understand is as the temperature raises your plants stomata closes letting less co2 in so adding co2 to a hot enviroment doesnt mean it gonna be fine and dandy since your adding co2, if you want to see improvement from running co2 you need to keep your amibent temp within the 78 to 84 range. Running temps above 84, co2 is needed just to keep growth at a regular pace. Not to mention what the higher temps do to nugget density and other issues it causes. So long story short just because your adding co2 doesnt mean its ok to run temps in the low 90's. Ive seen better results with same strains in properly vented tents that run at 81 when hot compared to sealed co2 injected tents that run in the high 80's. Just my opinion but If I were you I would just add a ventitlation fan 24/7 and keep my temps below 84 at all times rather than seal that room up and run co2. Remember just because they are LED's doesnt mean its gonna just with zero heat, no matter what with a sealed room and that many lights the temp is gonna be running hotter than is desired.

Dankenstien: LED Growing is not HID growing. So while you may have experienced different results with HID and temperature, it doesn't mean that also applies with LED's. The reason you ran 80-84 F before, is that HID's throw out a TON of radiant heat, whereas LED's do not. If you went higher with your HID's, you'd likely fry your plants. Because of the lack of radiant heat, plants grown in a LED environment need higher temps in order to achieve the same levels of transpiration (plant respiration), which directly affects the rate of photosynthesis. There is a break-off point with temp where going hotter doesn't equal faster growth rates, but that temp is well above 90 with MJ and LED's. In fact, running your plant at the hottest setting they are optimized for will guarantee you higher yields and faster growth. So until you've got about 5 LED grows under your belt, please don't tell me how to recommend our lights and environment settings for our customers. Thank you.

Just wondering how often should you cycle the air in the grow area? Thanks whitelion!

It depends on if you are cycling for heat control or just room air exchange. 3-5 times a minute for heat control and 6-10 times an hour for basic air exchange.

LEDGirl,
Did you have to throw that last line in there?
If you wonder why people like to fight with you...it may not be just about LEDs.

Uh thats wrong. Grow with CO2, with a monitor/actiavtor, and a sealed room, AFTER you have dialed out your grow room. Then add CO2 and let your room get to high 80's, low 90's and they will flourish.

CO2 puts the grow in a totally different ball park. More nutes, more lights, more heat.. They love it, but you must do it right.
