never checked it. if the plant has no roots i dont see how it can really take up much nutrients. ill check what the ppms are tho the next time i go look

im just gonna start it at like 4-500 this time i think thats were i really messed up haha

Nah, that's not it. I have 100% success with plain water that is <100ppm. I'm truly baffled when people don't have success with EZ clones. Make sure everything is clean and sterile, your ph range is 5.9-6.3 and try not lifting the lid 20 times a day because it lets out all of the humidity.

Keep trying dude. If you don't get it next time you'll have to modify your screen name, lol.

Just make sure you only clean those little black foam pieces with only little soap n hot water NO BLEACH
very toxic for your cuts
Actually, make sure you throw away the inserts after each use and buy new ones. There is no way to completely clean and sterilize them since the roots actually grow into them and pathogens get INTO the neoprene.

give or take T but aprox how much bleach did you use? and did you just add bleach too the res and let it run or did you take it apart and did it part by part?
I remove the manifold from the pump, clean and rinse everything with bleech, and then I run it for 30-60min with 5ml/g bleach. Then I dump the rez and rinse it again before I get going. Don't be too worried about a little residual bleach after this process, it wont hurt anything. And, as I previously stated, don't reuse the neoprene inserts.

ive been running this thing for over a year and been using the same pucks or suing a chiller.but i can see were if i had a problem it would have cost me, by not changing them out. most of my clones root, the gh3 part i use is mainly for when they root so the plant can stay green while its roots grow big enough to transplant.

Don't you notice that the roots grow into the inserts? I need 100% success each time as I don't have the space to run extras. What I cut, I need. When I reuse inserts I only get a 90-95% success rate. I don't mind spending 50 cents for a neoprene insert that will start a plant that will in turn yield me $500+ worth of medicine.

I'd take your word for it!! thanks for sharing!

You can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking you head up a bull's ass but id much rather take the butcher's word for it haha. Sorry i had to!:stonedsmilie:

Has anyone had issues with even the smaller EZCloners running too hot? Both of my 30 site EZs are consistently 85deg which is far from good. I talked to one guy who suggested running a chiller with it, but seriously? A chiller?! The next time I clone I am def going to try the timer idea. ;)

I fill my bathtub an put soap and about i wanna say like 4 to 5 ounces of bleach, then just let it run for around an hour. Then I refill the tub rinse off the pump and manifold and do the same thing with reg water to get all the residues in it out.

Just make sure you only clean those little black foam pieces with only little soap n hot water NO BLEACH
very toxic for your cuts

Good luck bra

thanks a milli for the 411 its greatly appreciated :hi:

i put water in it then pour bleach in and let it run for 5 mins. then i pour it out rinse it and refill it with just water and let it run. then i pour it out again fill it with fresh water let it run. then i take the neoprim pucks and wash them off real good in plain water. but i have cleaned them with the bleach water never had an issue. then one last time i fill it up add my nutes and put the plants in. i make sure it cannot smell bleach or if i can its very faint.

gracias KT i think i might end up having to use this method simply because i dont have the time and dont want to be leaving the baybees run half to one hour with out water thanks for da help :rock

thanks G i plan on trying at least each one of these methods at least to see witch one works the best for me but for now i got to stick to the kwik method hope all you fellazzzzzzz have a goood run in your machines thanks for everything :cool0010:

I went to the hydro store nearby to get one of this & they were charging $105 for it. Anyone knows a better deal on online store?
Thanks

For a lid/humidity dome?

~10$ worth of PVC and elbows to make a 'frame' then drape a piece of 2ml clear poly over it.

I have used a chiller in the past but have found a timer placed at 2 minute's on and 5 off works great..No need to chill and I am getting the same rooting time...JACK

Jack, you ever fuck around with shorter cycle times than that?

Any detriment other than perhaps burning the pump out sooner?

I'd think a 1 on/2.5 off would be "better", no?

I know I'm splitting hairs here as they're probably really close in terms of functionality, but I was thinking of doing 30 seconds on / 2.5 minutes off for my flowering setup and would like to be able to run both off of the same timer.

Thanks bro.

most the pre set timers they make are 1 min on 4 min off. i don't know if that's the farthest apart they can make it while keeping everything healthy or if that's just the perfect timer for best rooting and growing.

Yeah, that's actually what I tried to buy but they were out of stock, so I went to the upgraded model that lets me control on/off times to the second.
