I wish I felt the same. Droopy, bleached and slightly fried is not ideal to me. The meds are always gone as soon as it is done so have not gotten to sample the meds from this cut yet.

Skywalker OG was gifted to me by a trusted source. They wanted me to run it and see what I could do with it. I got skywalker clones under t5 and they also got fatter leaves than diablo og.

How can you tell if a cut is legit or not from a pic?

IMHo, To go by a pic and compare is not an accurate comparison, nor does it account for all the factors that can can cause differences in genetics.

For example, I have seen the same strain in 4 different growers room
The way it looks, in flower and the finished meds are different. Yes can tell is the same strain but not the same finished meds.

Here is a example: I see one strain you run. master x bubba, In your pics the strain has 7 leaf fans.

Ow shit you must not have a legit cut!! Well I could be wrong in saying that. May not be the case. Could just be a enviromental difference.

It appears you are not running a 1k light. AM I right?

Stick that same strain under a 1k light and she pumps out 9 leaf fans. (not my pic, but count the fans)

Make sense? I don't know it all, is just one theroy.

I feel that there is no way too know all the factors from a photo. what do you think?

No worries brah... IMHO, you will learn far more from your mistakes than successes. My mind is always wide open, thinking, questioning, confirming, and up to some sort of shady experiment... I will say that I absolutely agree that the same strain will look diff under diff environmental conditions, growing mediums, nutrients, and grower's skillz. I know this cuz I've ran the same strains over the last year and a half in a variety of mediums and nutrients with changing ambient environments along with refining my skillz... In my conclusion, the same strains actually look slightly different based on these variables... I don't need a supermod to tell me my MxB cut, or any other is legit or not based on picts, but I'd gladly toss them a few nugs for a smoke report... :cool

To answer your question, I have not ran the MxB under 1kW yet, but will do so in the Under Current. Also I have not used supplemental CO2 ever, so I'm sure that would help make my nugs fatter... Finally, I agree that it's very hard to determine whether a cut is legit simply from veg picts, let alone the diff variables I mentioned when flowering, but I will say that I've seen the same strains in diff environmental conditions, mediums, and nutrients look consistently similar in veg... Hence there seems to be more divergence in traits and phenotype expressions in bloom based on these diff variables... :thinking

Yes, same clone could look closer in veg, could also look different though. Look at a pic and could be thrown off if you do not know all the factors.

Different people, they follow, exact same recipe, same strain, same equipment. But the results are not the exactly the same. 2 growers strains are pretty damn close. Other 2 growers strain could be mistaken for not being legit via a pic. Yes, even in veg. So could be wrong to judge is something is legit or not, going off a pic.

Gotta account for flower finished product. All the factors. If you dont explain that then could be misleading by not sharing details.

Case it was no obvious. imho my skywalker og's are neglected, haggered burnt leftovers. This far, I have not done them justice. as you probably know if a plant is not cared for the entire time not going to produce as good as it could. Can probably pull together some good bud, but not what is possible. Just gotta keep trying to improve.

Maybe a better comparison, is a pic of a similar age/size skywalker og under the proper lighting. I can post one up.

Little bit of info on them.
All the skywalker og plants have been bent up, super cropped. Grown in a area w temps of 65-72f 40-60% rh
clones are under t5 in coco. Larger bonsai mom was in ffof, then transplanted to perfect pot with root organic soil.

I was just checking your thread, killed it. Was checking out your strain shots. The cut I got of skywalker looks more like your diablo and my diablo og looks more like your skywallker... As far as the width of the leaves.

They been heavily tortured, topped and supercropped. That does change the appearance as well. I do use Teas and organics and top dressings of ewc.
In flower they grow like a vine, more like a sativa. finally stopped stretching @ 31 days.

I read somewhere that the Skywalker was an OG that leaned towards the Sativa side of things, but I can't recall which thread it was... In any event, the odds are on my side that I'll find a few keepers while I'm doing pheno hunting of the beans I popped back in August... It's long overdue and time for me to flip the switch... :flower

Welcome, Let me know which og you like and find is more vigorous, potent, easy to clone, etc. Basically a keeper.

Thanks. appreciate it. Been dropping temps to 70 at night now, will bring overall temps down at the end and then the colors will really come out.

thanks, doing better than I expected. Was stressing with the plants being so close to the lights. Some leaf bleaching few heat spots but otherwise hanging in there.

10 quart hempy

Quick update and pics of some some hempy's I whipped together for some clones chosen to be moms.

Made 2 - 10 quart hempy buckets to keep some moms. There girls were ready for transplant.

The roots.

more roots. :)

put 2 quarts of big and chunky perlite in the bottom and driller a drain hole. Then fill remainder and transplant with 75% perlite / 25% coco coir.

used a small brush w some r/o water to spread VAM& activator on the roots.

what did not make it onto the root went into the transplant hole. 2 tablesspoons total.
