I wanted to show and alternative to RDWC, good ol' hempys. I have found that this 4:1 ratio of perlite to coco allows the roots to grow with ease. provide enough moisture throughout the medium and also allows a large amount of air to get into the root zone
I preveg for 4 wks under a 1000w MH in 5 gal grow bags, then give them 2 wks in the buckets.
super easy system. I fill a 44gal res, pump about half the res out, this gets about 1/2 gal over overflow per bucekt which is caught in a 2gal bucket (which I need to dump out about once a week and takes 4mins) and keeps about 1.5gal of water in the bottom of the buckets Hempy res.
then the next day I just turn the pumps of for a min or 2 pumping about maybe 5gals, and then repeat it again the next day emptying the res.
I could go 3days without watering but I like to water everyday even if its just for a minute to make sure the feedlines get some action and that the crown stays moist, which handwatering hempys dont have which I think hurts the growth.
here are some pics of the back room, last run in this room before I move out this house, so Im going to try and make it an epic one,
