Day 40 12 /12

Today is day 40 on the switch and things are really starting to take shape!!! Like I mentiond from the beginning this is my 2nd grow ever so Im not experienced by any means so its hard to tell how good or bad it is going, especially because I'm running leds and theres not much out there to give you a "proven path" persay.

with that being said I think that things are going very well and its starting to show.

:)
I am a couple other places too... I wouldn't call this place "making do" ( I've been in the grow game since 92, long time by some standards, short by others. ) and this is the best place for legit growing info I've found, sometimes a plethora of knowledge, but it's ALL here:)
I learn new gems everyday... Cheers Bruh!

yeah I guess i meant I liked the fact that it was a led based forum but thc is great, nothing but love here and great information all around!
deff misworded when I say make do, dorry guyes.

in for this. can you pm me the brand of lights???

new user cant pm yet, sorry guess your gonna have to wait lol

once I can pm Ill tell you what company it is or you can just see in a few weeks/! whichever comes first

Looking real good K11ng, I spend so much time in the LED section sometimes I forget to come over here and check out ur grow. Awesome stuff mate.

Don't worry about it, its only disgusting hay, a waist of time so I've been told from thc hallway monitors. You know how they can get lmfao. Yeam man your gonna be proud of your hay as you should

Continued 1000 watt plus led grow

This feels more like home so I will continue my updates from this thread.

day 46 12 /12v looking like Ill start flushing next week and see what Ive learned!

picture 4 -7 are my other ladies on day 6 12 / 12 that I had a new home for , so I moved them to there buckets and set them in place for the next 8 weeks. If they seem bent or wilted its because I have tied them down to gain better light penetration. I'm thinking I might try and put a scrog together before they get stiff.

let me know what you guys think of the progress

Hey K11NG things are looking great man...:cool0041:

Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

Also Please do not make multiple threads about the same grow. I merged the two threads cause they were the exact same thing. Hope you understand.

no problem, I just wanted it to be located under led section thanx man appreciate the check in

I'm so impressed, I don't see buds like that everyday. Those LED's really work! Better than many CFL and outdoor buds I've seen.

I'm considering going to LED myself to compliment my CFL grow and help fill in sh
ady spots in the growbox, or add color to the existing CFL for wider light spectrum.
I'm planning to start by making my own panels from lots of cheap bright bulk RED and BLUE LEDs until I can afford LED growlights.

What ratio of RED/BLUE do you have? Your grow is spectacular, you are definitely doing something right!!!

I don't care how LED compares to CFL or HID, of course each one works differently, but I don't see why people don't think about blending the different types.

It was the same old debate a few years ago, everybody saying CFL sucks, HID is better, bla bla, but ya know what, CFL is better for compact grows, and HID for big grows. Not one is better than the other.

Same with LEDs, like you say, THEY WORK, and IMO I know flat LED panels can take less space than CFL/HID bulbs and fixtures, so why not have a grow with all three, imagine a cool tube HID at the top, CFL throughout for close fill lights, and LEDS on all panels of the growbox, instead of white/shiny reflective walls, use reflective LED walls, you would have 100% light coverage.

Gongrats on your modern grow, and keep the LED thing going, it's people like you and other LED growers that will help mature the technology as time goes on.

Each has it's own purpose, what makes it better is how you use it

thanks for the good words and it really helps boost the confidence level. I really put allot of time and effort into learning what to do and what not to do, but non of that matters until you actually do it hands on. so far I'm happy with my results but it is definitely close to its full potential. I plan to run 1 strain of clones from one of my mothers and scrogging it which should really do well. as of now I'm running 4 different strains and it is difficult to learn all the characteristics and habits of the girls.

as far as the light spectrum not sure if this helps out this is what i have •Spectrum of Light - 455-475nm, 620-630nm, 660nm
and bright white

I only see things getting better from here

update day 48 12/12

quick shots
pic 1 and 2 big bang
pic 3,4,5 white widow

getting there!!!

Looking good! You ever just stare at them and think about how much you want to take a bite out of one? I do.

i would love to try out four 144W LED panels in place of a 1000w hps. I've read that tomatoes respond best to a 70/30 mix of red/blue. the cost is still prohibitive..alibaba has 288 W LED for a few hundred bucks, made to your specs. They can even make them with CREE LED for the appropriate price.

as far as whether they 'work', they're still watt for watt with hid. i still believe lumens count.

lol you guys are a laugh riot ... *Burp* i think the same when i see a nice chunks of hash ... Brownies!!!!!!!!!! lmao. Oh my i think i'm too baked. lol

Good looking with the bud porn. keep it up K11ng
