The fact is we all pay tax under the same rule book @ different levels of income and that is not the fault of any individual person.
You're right--it's the fault of a bunch of individual people coming together.
Those people call themselves republicans.
annnnnnd scene.
What you keep on forgetting, sir, is that all of those people doing all of that hard work--couldn't have done it without the system of social living that our government established and has maintained over the years.
I don't take anything away from your drive or your ability to adapt and learn new things--or to be a good judge of whom to apprentice under. That's all well and good and I give you your kudos on that. However, its like you said everyone gets their start somewhere.
Everything about the country in which you reside began with the people and by proxy their government.
The government is our attempt, as countrymen, to ensure that our way of life persists for as long as possible. The reason things suck is because this generation sucks fat donkey dick at self-instrospection. At self-accountability.
The government sucks because we made it suck. As a concept its the only thing that makes America, America.
Topple the government and in a few years time there wouldn't be a single American thing about this place.
All those hard working fellas you learned from learned from someone else and if you go allllllll the way back--you end up with someone's ancestor who made the ultimate investment in this country. Excuse me for asking that everyone else be expect to do the same.
Frankly I find the arrogance disgusting, to say that everyone gets where they get themselves.
Hasn't been a human ever on this earth who got ANYWHERE alone. Not one.
Every single human who has ever spent their entire life alone, died in infancy.
We come into this world weak, and somehow you think all these people just He-Man their way to the top with ultimate strength and work ethic. The people who came before you made it all possible. Don't you forget that or try to take it from them, it isn't your right.
All those things you LEARNED--someone had to DISCOVER those. You didn't just invent all these techniques and industries by working hard and not getting traditionally educated. The GOVERNMENT in many cases fostered those industries. In others traditionally educated people (by the government) fostered them. No matter
HOW PROUD YOU FEEL OF YOURSELF you cannot disconnect ANY of your success from the American government--Not completely. Not ever.
The truth is that America is so important in the world today that even a Spaniard who's never set foot in this country can't disconnect any of his success from the American government. So what the hell makes you think you can stand alone in that regard?
Can say that as easily as I can say there are certain failures you can't disconnect from a person's bad luck in being born in a place like Ethiopia. You are born there, ur fucked. Born here--you got it good comparatively. It is, in part, the land that makes it that way here (depending where you are)--but for the most part it is the government, and the economy of our country, which is controlling that difference. Ethipia's sucks, and ours is again comparatively much better.
How pompous are the conservatives that they pat themselves on the back acting as though the government has done nothing good in the last 100 years. That they're all so rich and powerful of their own hard work.
I don't mean to imply that they'd be where they are without that work, or that the work has not worth--it certainly has quite a bit. But as a human child being born into this world, in this universe, in this time--it just doesn't get better than being born in America. I think for as true as that is, asking for 30% isn't a particularly bad shake. All things considered.
I want it to stay that way. The government will make it stay that way. Not you, not your hard work, not the business and expertise you THINK you built without the government's help. All of those things are wonderful--but they don't mean shit if we can't come together at the end of the day as countrymen and make something better than before. We're making something worse right now--and we're doing it for the first time in the history of our country (save MAYBE the great depression--but we really came out of that one swinging).
You say you make 8k/car. Fat lot of good that'd do you without roads. The very last thing on peoples minds would be painting cars.
Wake up. The story of this country is CUMULATIVE. Without those before you, you wouldn't be anything but a fuckin' cave man. It follows from elementary logic. We benefit from the knowledge gained from the generations previous to us.
Right now we are worried about EVERYTHING BUT preserving that sacred institution in this country of building something better than what came before it.
All over tax breaks for millionaires, and they've got so many of you convinced its about family values.
Fucking makes me sick.
Happy holiday to you as well.
