Does the tea always foam? If so what makes it foam? I see that everyone's tea seem to foam but mine. This last tea I made with less molasses and still no foam. I used a five gallon bucket and added 4 gallons of r/o water. I used caps recipe its been working really good but no foam. I would like some foam:mad:My Tea Recipe
I've been trying out a few different recipes the last few months and this particular recipe makes some bomb ass tea. It helps with flying insects and molds in addition to allowing your plants to uptake more nutrients.... I use it to foliar and weekly feeds, plants are loving it.. I brew for 24hrs total but can be used after 18hrs of bubbling.. I add the Frass in the last 12-8hrs of bubbling.
2 - 2.5 GAL of RO water..
1/2 - 1 TBS ea of Cap's Root pack, Foliar pack, Nute pack
2 TBS Vermiblend Soil Amendment.. Contains Earth worm Casting, Humus, Compost, Fossilized kelp, rock minerals & mycorrhizae..
1 TBS Earthworm castings
1 TBS Insect Frass (optional)
1/2 - 1 OZ of A1's Floravino Tea
1 TBS Humic Acid
1 TSP Liquid Kelp
1/2 - 1 TBS Blackstrap molasses(unsulphered)

. Sure basically bfx turns on plants natural defense so when i use to use it I would start at a fourth strength And gradually increase as you see benefits over three to five days if you don't see benefits that quick lock down your environment and then try it again bfx is a stressor so if your stressing already don't use it until your plants tell you they are ready because we all no what too much stress does, all plants have their individual levels of tolerance which could vary wether its cold hot drought light dep light leak co2 deficient I mean the list goes on and everything is taken with a grain of salt so it's really a nute that is used with a familiar plant so you recognize the health and not Over do it plus bfx is also a surfactant so it does have benefits when you use it in small doses even in foliage if your not sure what your plants can handle foliar spray On one plant before dumping it on everything it also helps some Mag deficiencies even veg.Yes, my tea is not foaming. I used the following:
1) one quart RO water
2) one small bubble stone, and three cylindrical bubble stones (seem to create quite a stir)
3) two multi-port aquarium pumps
4) approximately six Tblsp. Worm Castings suspended in water by paint strainer sack
5) six ml Carboload
6) 1.5 tsp of both root and foliar packs
Caveman, What advice can you give about using Bud Factor X? I picked up some Bud Factor X because some suggested that it could help in the battle with Root Aphids. Do you think it may cause hermies if used too early? Any info/suggestions you could provide regarding Bud Factor X would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I used distilled water from walmart at first I was only using one large air stones now im using two, but I think i'm not using enough earth worm castings. I haven't checked the ph of the water at all I will try that next. Thanks!well I read that EWC's can cause foam in the way of enzyme activity and/or broken up worms that may be in the castings, but I get foam at about 14 hours with or without EWC.
What type of water are you using? If foam is important to you then I would look at that first. I would try just the bennies, EWC (couple handfuls) and maybe adjust PH. ???? I am kinda lost as it could be just a little thing, like how your water is processed, if you are using tap, or it could be your source of deionized/drinking water if purchasing from a store. I am sure tap would be find as long as you bubble the water, by itself for two hours or so. If not bubbling let it set uncovered for 24 hours.
Are you adding in any type's of oil, specifically Cold processed fish emulsion? This will def cut down foam.
Are you using de-chlorinated water?
Are you getting enough air in?
Are you letting it bubble at least 14 hours?
Anyone else ran into an ACT not foaming?
haha...or some Dawn.If foam is what you're after, try adding some yucca extract.

Exactly right. just goes to show that the foam does not necessarily mean that it's good, bad, or just being lazy.If you want some foam just add molasses bro. I put 25ml/gal in r/o with an air stone and nothing else and get it foaming up all over. Add some of caps bennies and things get real nice.
If foam is what you're after, try adding some yucca extract.
My tea recipe is as follows (per gallon of filtered tap water):
1 tsp Cap's Foliar
1 tsp Cap's Roots
1 tbsp Bountea Bio-Activator
1 tbsp compost (Earth Recharge, Alaskan Humisoil, or Boogie Brew)
1 tsp insect frass (added 1-2 hours before brew is done)
Bubble for 16-24 hours. This is then diluted about 50-50 and used as a soil drench and foliar.
When using Boogie Brew, it always foams, even standalone. I also have a bottle of Earth Juice Hi-Brix that I've used instead of the Bio-Activator, which has yucca. I always get foam when I use the Bio-Activator. The powder is easier to work with as well.
