They tried to go for the preflower a couple times but ended up just transitioning to alternate leaves and never showed sex. I think they will show very soon. The stretch started full blast over night, they are gonna be going inches a day I can feel it.

The method I used for LST this round was kind of on the spot problem solving, but I will now use it every time because of how well it works and how simple it is. I used green string to tie a circle around the pot, which I then slid up the pot until it was taught. I was then able to use the green string as my anchor for my usual Velcro and twisty tie LST materials.

Thanks for the positive vibes Dz1PnK!

Haha, your ALL CAPS and no punctuation always makes me laugh KillerChef! Thanks for stopping by. I hear you about too much gear out there that is worth running. I still have a few strains in my vault to run before I pick up anything new I think, but that seems to be what I always say and then end up finding something new I have to have! I do like the heat shields on the hoods for sure, although I have never used raptors without them, I am positive they help because the hoods are hardly even warm to the touch!

Very brief update: 4 out of 5 Lemon Alien Dawg plants have shown their sex to be FEMALE!!!

The Alien Grenades are taking a tiny bit longer to show, hopefully they will all be showing by tomorrow morning, but as of right now I also have 2 confirmed female Alien Grenades!

Congrats, Meeks! :)
Thanks Lady Goods! I am SUPER stoked to have 4 (maybe more) female Lemon Alien Dawgs, and just my luck, the one plant of the LADs that has been giving me an extra hard time keeping it happy, is the only plant that hasn't shown sex yet, so it could be a male for all I care!

I am a little worried however that I am gonna be stuck with 3 male Alien Grenades, since it seems like all the females were able to pop pistils already. . . but I am holding my breath, and checking on them often to identify their sex.

They may be late bloomers.... just buildin up their hormones ;)
I am really hoping thats the case FM, thanks for the positive vibes. . . . but the longer I wait, the more the little tiny nubs I am trying to identify look like male pre-flowers. . . so I am pretty sure I got stuck with 3 male AGRs. . . but luckily I have a backup plan as I mentioned before.

Pictures of the new full table screens will be up tomorrow, I just wanna give it one more day before I give the plants I think are male the chop, and then I can lower the screen onto the remaining females!

looking very very good MEEKS!

Alien Genetics are REALLY impressing me, i cant wait to see them flower.
:D
Thanks teeker! The genetics are really impressing me too, great smells come from a light stem rub, it should be crazy in there during full bloom!

Just thought i would drop in and say HELLO. There's happy days ahead with all those females. Nice work Meeks;)
Hey Pig, thanks for stopping by! I am pumped to have as many female LADs as I got. . . .but really disappointed with 2/5 female Alien Grenades:( especially because they were happy their whole life, I thought for sure I would get lucky with them also. . . but life goes on. . . not for the males of course . . . but for me.

So here is a quick update, to explain the current decision I am trying to make. I have accepted the fact that the preflowers on Alien Grenades number 1, 2, and 5 are all male preflowers . . . . and I still have one male Lemon Alien Dawg. This leaves me with 6 full size female plants ready for flower. I also have 9 plants (assorted clones of my previous keepers from last year) that I have been growing behind the scenes, with the idea that they could fill in any open space in the trays once I cull out the males. My problem is that I wasn't expecting 3 male AGRs and so the 9 clone plants are still a little under sized to fill in a full half tray void. . . .

The choices I know have are as follows, and please feel free to make suggestions if you have an opinion one way or another.
1) I could consolidate all 6 females into one tray, it would be a tiny bit crowded, but they would fit and I could turn off my second light until my 9 clone plants are large enough to fill a full tray on their own. *down side is that the AGR and LAD might require different feeding and all in one tray makes that more difficult, plus most likely reduced harvest from crowding*
2) I could kill all the large Alien Grenades, and turn off the second light, again until the 9 clone plants are large enough to fill a full table on their own, and then grow out the two female AGRs at a later date from the clones I have of them. *down side is I wasted time/energy/materials veg'ing plants that could be flowered*
3) I could continue with my original plan of using the smaller clone plants to fill in empty space from culled males, running both lights on both tables just like I am currently, and still have a solid 2 light harvest in 8 weeks. *down side is I may get a few ounces less from one of the tables because of the under sized clone plants not completely filling the screen*

What would you do?

Oh, and here are some pictures of the tables currently on day 3 12/12, with the first screen layer sitting above the canopy, ready to be lowered down after I remove the male plants and decide where things are going to be living for the next two months! There are also a few macros of the male preflowers, incase anyone disagrees please feel free to say so. And the last picture is of the 9 plants from clone I have on deck to fill in space if I decide to continue with that plan. Those plants are White Urkle-B, White Urkle-C, White Urkle-D, White Fire-D, and White Master Kush-A, with a few doubles.

if there was any that might be in question to me, it would be the third shot
Yeah, that is one of the Alien Grenades. . . it really doesn't have much of anything in the way of preflowers yet, only like 1 in 3 nodes even has little nubs like you see in the picture. . . but those nubs are identical to what the others looked like 2 days ago, and now they are much more clearly male. Plus all 6 females were showing pistils the morning after their first 12 hour night, so I'm not holding my breath for pistils to appear on that plant. Thanks for taking a close look, I am hesitant to give any of my plants the chop without getting a little reassurance from people here on The Farm.

id give it a few more days, we all know how females are masters of trickery haha. if it is a dude he wont start skeeting for a couple more weeks so theres no threat of a seeded crop. really hope things go your way bro.
