looking very very good MEEKS!
Alien Genetics are REALLY impressing me, i cant wait to see them flower.
:D
Thanks teeker! The genetics are really impressing me too, great smells come from a light stem rub, it should be crazy in there during full bloom!
Just thought i would drop in and say HELLO. There's happy days ahead with all those females. Nice work Meeks;)
Hey Pig, thanks for stopping by! I am pumped to have as many female LADs as I got. . . .but really disappointed with 2/5 female Alien Grenades:( especially because they were happy their whole life, I thought for sure I would get lucky with them also. . . but life goes on. . . not for the males of course . . . but for me.
So here is a quick update, to explain the current decision I am trying to make. I have accepted the fact that the preflowers on Alien Grenades number 1, 2, and 5 are all male preflowers . . . . and I still have one male Lemon Alien Dawg. This leaves me with 6 full size female plants ready for flower. I also have 9 plants (assorted clones of my previous keepers from last year) that I have been growing behind the scenes, with the idea that they could fill in any open space in the trays once I cull out the males. My problem is that I wasn't expecting 3 male AGRs and so the 9 clone plants are still a little under sized to fill in a full half tray void. . . .
The choices I know have are as follows, and please feel free to make suggestions if you have an opinion one way or another.
1) I could consolidate all 6 females into one tray, it would be a tiny bit crowded, but they would fit and I could turn off my second light until my 9 clone plants are large enough to fill a full tray on their own. *down side is that the AGR and LAD might require different feeding and all in one tray makes that more difficult, plus most likely reduced harvest from crowding*
2) I could kill all the large Alien Grenades, and turn off the second light, again until the 9 clone plants are large enough to fill a full table on their own, and then grow out the two female AGRs at a later date from the clones I have of them. *down side is I wasted time/energy/materials veg'ing plants that could be flowered*
3) I could continue with my original plan of using the smaller clone plants to fill in empty space from culled males, running both lights on both tables just like I am currently, and still have a solid 2 light harvest in 8 weeks. *down side is I may get a few ounces less from one of the tables because of the under sized clone plants not completely filling the screen*
What would you do?
Oh, and here are some pictures of the tables currently on day 3 12/12, with the first screen layer sitting above the canopy, ready to be lowered down after I remove the male plants and decide where things are going to be living for the next two months! There are also a few macros of the male preflowers, incase anyone disagrees please feel free to say so. And the last picture is of the 9 plants from clone I have on deck to fill in space if I decide to continue with that plan. Those plants are White Urkle-B, White Urkle-C, White Urkle-D, White Fire-D, and White Master Kush-A, with a few doubles.
