Sweet line up man! This is going to be a bad ass grow. I'm stoked you're trying out soil and organics. I really think you'll dig it.

I know big waayne likes to use LW and he has great results. I used it once for a 100 bean pop and absolutely hated it. I had major deficiencies, seedling death, and ended up with a high M/F ratio. I don't know if I just got a funky batch or what but I'll never use it again. I prefer just using Happy Frog, Greenfields or Ocean Forest with a little added perlite.

delae actually I don't really like Light Warrior much at all ,or any of Fox Farms inconsistent products for that matter like Happy Frog or Ocean Forest...........
Black Gold seed starter is only slightly better IMO
I really don't know of any soil line I would recommend
IME it's all inconsistent from time to time and I've gotten bugs outta all of it from time to time..........
I totally believe you and others have had poor results with Light Warrior, and I can sure see why with all the inconsistencies it has from time to time.....Willy had higher standards when he started Fox Farm but I think they are about as lame and inconsistent as any soil company out there now
Personally I have tossed bags out because they were infested with bugs, but a clean, properly mixed bag will give you seedlings like this pic of a 8 day old Dirt Nap seedling

Thats probably the biggest challenge to using organic soil now days, the companies producing it tend to have very low standards for quality control........

I found a half empty Copenhagen can in a bag of Black Gold last yearo_O
but hey they all always include plenty of fungus gnats for free

There's nothing like a little fungus gnat guano to keep the girls happy.....:D

I feel ya 110% homie.

Whelp, snagged up some of the last gooides on the list, and also finally made a choice n some soil. since i have to order the Black Gold, and itll be a week or so till it arrives, im gonna go with Earth juice Amazon soil. I have some friends whom use it religiously on stating veggie seeds without ill effect, so im gonna cutt in sme perlite and let it fly. They will only have to chill for 7 or 8 days i this and then into the Black gold. Time to get some seeds soaking!!!

Ken

Ok folks, game on we gonna call it at 5:00 startin soak. Figured might as wel document everything to do with these seeds, so it all starts here.
5 sour pebs
5 sour lemon ad
5 galactic tahoes
5 alien rock candy.
6 star fighters
Im gonna let em soak for a few hours and then into some paper towels till tailed.
Ger updates tommorow hopefully
Thanks aain everyone

Ps.. i read somewhere that oyster shell can be found in the feed stores ..that's were I've seen it .. chicken scratch... if someone hasn't already said it...

I would say if u get something that works well put it in th corner and only use it to germinate seeds it lasts along time that way. those special seeds are a bitch to lose. but as we all know shit happens

I hear ya man. Sometimes you gotta try new methods though. I'm a sucker for learning shit the hard way. ;)

Thanks for the tips on the oyster shell Keonaona, idid snag me up some crab derived stuff, something like 28% calcium. I have a local fee store not too far down the road, so i will for sure check inot it. It seems some of the big guns here have def been chimming in,and its don right awesome to be learning from some of the best in the game.
Glad to have you aboard, pull up a chair ad get comfy!!!

Im right with ya D, but man learning the hard way can be costly, and im def trying to avoid that. For some reason though, when i learn something from a dumbass mistake, it seems i never make it again!!

Peace bruh
