Ghetto I'm not sure what you mean about them almost snapping mate?

He means wen the stem in the middle of the nug snaps rather than folds or bends its dry.but its not as straight forward as just leavin it till it snaps.your wantin the buds a bit moist n sticky while the stem in the middle snaps.its not easy to get right first time.
i would say just try and dry it as slowly as possible.try to dry it over 2weeks rather than 1.

Just like happy says curing and drying takes as much practice as growing...but yeh so the stalk makes the snap noise but doesn't actually snap in half then its ready to cure in paper bags or boxes

And if it's autos ur doing I'd recommend doing a multiple harvest on the plants.. The tops always seem to finish earlier so wot off the top cola and side branches and try to give the rest another week. I use hps so I do get decent light Penetration but I think it's just how autos are.. as long as you have a scope or a loupe keep checking on the trichs. . They never lie and will tell u when the bottom half is ready.. It really improves my yield and lower quality from popcorn.
Just my 2 pence. .good luck on the drying and curing... its just as essential as the growing and is an art form... I've not mastered it but I'm getting better...

Yeh its much easier and normally quicker to wet trim but I think dry trim tastes better its just got that extra kick

I think it may just be coz drying with the leaves on promotes a more even dry throughout the plant and leaving the leaves on the plant during drying protects the fragile resin glands.
i may giv it a try next time i harvèst.

Yeh man when I 1st started I was on an american site called mmj.com there was this old school geezer on there who said that when u dry with the sugar leaf on they sort of protect the buds and all that good resin and just mek it that bit tastier deffo worth a blast man it can be a pain but well worth it

So after flushing let them dry out a little then cut and hang and trim when they are dry yeh?

Yeh man I always give them a couple of days with no water before chop ;)

Alrite lads,i trim wet,i then dry slowly in a dryin net,5\7 days,then I put a few pieces of newspaper in the bottom of one of the large plastic storage boxes,the ones fae poundys,i then lay the weed {on a piece of white unbleached paper}in the box,i open it once a week,the newspaper helps with final dry,then into jars,cure it like this and it's the same wether u wet or dry trim,iv tryed quite a few ways,and this is what works for me anyway,76

For me dry trim always tastes better man different strokes for different folks and all that

Yea,everyones different,this is what works for me,i must stress not to put the weed on the newspaper,i lay it on the white paper.there is more than one way to skin a cat!76
