I need to send these ladies into the land of the dark. We know what the stretch looks like on a CMH.

I don't get as much stretch with cmh vs hps

Another Kimbo and a black mamba leaf showing the coloring I get with the 315s. Also a pic of a new little 6 unit rdwc system I built that just got flipped to flower, using all 315s

Mine stretch a bit all the way through flower. A lot of branch stretch. My cytokine confuse the plants anyway. Have a 2 week veg sexing from regular seed lol. It doesn't know which way to grow.

My bad 2 weeks from sprout. Growing it's 7th true node. Got me thinking she is a he. They show faster usually....

What's your spacing on the 315s?how many over what size area?

Swap out the 4x1000 for 6x630 cmh if they will fit. 15 of my grower buddies have all seen the light by swapping their 1000 for 630 cmh. But they do add a couple more lights to compensate.

One buddy is running a hood that has 2 mogul sockets. He runs a veg and a flower cmh bulb in each hood. He kills it!!

A little tidbit of info. With no glass keep them atleast 3' high. When they start flowering I'll slowly lower them and I mean like 1 click per day. The widow grew a little too fast for its own good. Was thinking it was an overwatering issue when tuning the blumat. They barely taco'd but I saw those leaves shying and plants in the sidelight kicking ass and it hit me.

I wanted know if anyone thinks I should let them get 6 hours of dark. I run 24 straight.

Also wanted to mention I have 2 stacked.

I replaced a 1000W HPS for 2 315's.Definitly better all around in veg and flower.I could add 1 more to the mix and really kill it but the 2 315;s are good.I stuck them in open reflectors and was impressed right away.I ran some autos in DWC from start to finish and got well over a pound with just nutes in a sealed room.Im dealing with CO2 now so im sure it will change the game even more.I have no dislikes at all about them.I ran Scotts OG under 1000W HPS and now im about to run the same exact plant under the CMH.This will be the ultimate test for me.I saw what the HPS did for the plant so now i have 6 clones going in the same system under the CMH.I still have them under HID right now cause im using the CMH to veg out some regs cause i need to hurry up and get them sexed but as soon as there done im moving the Scotts.right now they got crazy roots so it should be a good one.

I was pretty happy with the outcome.I ended up with like 1.2 out of that scrog dried.This was a homemade auto seed grow i did.I had a couple real nice autos and i reversed one and ran these.They was about the same but yeah the CMH yielded as much as my typical 1000W HPS and one thing i did notice is no burned up tops,and i had to keep my nute PPM up which is crazy cause they normally dont like the nutes after 50 days but these CMH had them wanting more.


Heres a cola i pulled out of there.You can see all the buds drying in the back.It was a pretty good haul and the quality of smoke was up there with my other photos.

Looks over fed.Leaves curled up like that on the tops could mean to much heat or a hot spot,the burns on the lower stuff is nute burn.Plus the yellow tipping is your plants are overfed.Looks like a slight over water issue.No oxyegen in the root zone so could be a drainage problem.Put a fan over them and that will solve the leaf cupping on the tops,Not sure how to fix your nute burn.I dont fuk with dirt no more unless im sexing plants and i just use the simplest shit and seem to grow really nice plants.Always seems the less you screw with your plants in dirt the nicer they will be,HYDRO is oppisite,Forget your plants in hydro for a week and you'll be pulling them up.This is real talk brother.

Here are some 12 day old Hickock Hazes from greenpoint.Only fed once and it was light.Used flora Nova grow,calmag,and rapid start,Hoping to have these sexed and cloned in 2 weeks for the real show.These are growing under CMH and i will tell u without a doubt CMH is killing anything else in veg without a doubt.Lights are right at 20 inches high.Temps are 77 and NO Co2.

And lastly heres the Blue dram i ran.I put the CMH over them cause i had an issue with my 600HPS bulb so i ran the CMH over them after 2 weeks into flower.They did so good.I had dried tops of colas i could barely get to go in the jars.Shit was crazy and they was a little knobby on the tops but the buds were real dense and tight.pics were taken about 10 days before i chopped them.They was dying and pretty much done but the flowers kept throwing hairs like they wanted to live lol.I pulled a real good haul off these.

Where di u find the ballast?I had been looking all over and am waiting on some better technology to come out on bigger wattage square wave ballast so i can air cool a big CMH.

Thank you sir. Definitely will be keeping an eye out. Theyre looking better now. Definitely not out of the woods yet. They did take hits during the blumat dial in.

Hard to see from the picture but the leaves were shielding and turning away from the light. These vertical burning bulbs are serious. I talked to people that keep them 5 feet high.

If I'm under that light for more than 5 minutes I can feel the radiant heat. My humidity is low.as hell. 41%. Another issue I need to tackle.

This plant sits one foot away but it's in the offset.
