i like that, that other one you posted other day about bokashi, dont know what language it was ,sure wasnt redneck lmao.
how do you maintain the myco in containers though, the heat has a tendecy to heat sides of containers
If the root system goes over 25C for a number of consecutive days during the week before transition, then you are likely in trouble mate. The key is to ensure the root mass stays under 25C for at least the entire of vegging and for up to 3 weeks after bloom set. I do this by using shade cloth and by using straw mulch.
I have been using Hessian sacks and placing my containers inside the bag and filling the bag with straw and wetting this down on occasion. Or root pouches in larger root pouches, again using a mulching material to form a second wall to insulate the plants from the extremes.
I use shade cloth from 10:30 to 18:00. I use up to 80% but more normally the 50 is enough.
I can lower my root temps by 4-5 degrees just using a 50% cloth. I can lower it further by using a bag in a bag :)

many PSB's and KSB's like it hot. I source my microbes from both mountains and desserts for this purpose, so that i have a diverse selection of microbes to help us through the peak days.

The language on the Bochasi video was Spanish, but Peruvian Spanish, which i actually find easier to understand than the pure Spanish spoken here by locals who talk like a railgun firing. There should be English subtitles

Our top dirt is absolute shit in a high desert... But you dig down a bit in some spots and find good stuff. Very hard to do a container proper od... The sun literally cooks the roots till its big enough to shade the pot.
Yes, no old root passages in new compost containers, so the plant is working from day dot to get down to a safe level.
Its hard to dig in the heat for humans too :-) You could try mylar on the outside of the containers to reflect some of the UV. White pots might also help, or terracotta works in the heat here. I especially like to place a terracotta pot in to a larger terracotta pot and use white sand in between.Watering the outside of terracotta really does cool the material inside

its hard work so i dig my planting holes first and use a sheet to cover and keep it friable until I have a plant ready to drop in. Saves battling to keep containers cool to have plants in the ground with existing resonant microbes

Could be worse..Lost wages has Calichi ..sort of like natural cement mixed with rock! When I lived there..we could spot a new arrival as they tried blasting their way thru it to no avail..It really shooked my house back then..LOL
here we have clay, then it rains and 5 minutes later its back to triple digits making some fine ceramic :-)

I remember growing in arizona... Shit dirt and clay. The topper was water that you could chew and it smelled like eggs. Plants still kinda grew but i was new. I ran an extension cord to an empty house next door and hid it in a closet. My dad caught me.
you ought to have seen how well my Broccolis grew in the salty water I fed them LOL Stems like trunks.

i tried straw on my beds last year, watering caused the straw to mold and when it got next to stem deadshi ,hahah, now i have put insulation wrap around the 3 gal pots to see if it helps ,so far there doing good up till about 2 then they drift off to wax land,so last couple days i been feeding the 2 pots in the morning and with combination of insulation and feed ,they did alright last 2 days, first day we hit 101 and yesterday got to 107 and they man up pretty good,i like the idea of a straw bag around the totes,if i can keep this wild ass banshee out of um ,it should work fine, lmao
