DO NOT GET IT. The best yields I was able to get were 0.75g/actual wattage. Once I moved onto quantum boards, my 1st yield was 1,56g/w. The Viparspectra now only acts as a hyper red booster for me.
I already ordered the 900w one...but I have added a ventilation system and plan to add either 400 or 600w HPS also. I think that will cover it for now while I do all the research for building a quantum (if anyone does a how-to video, I’d be very interested in that!)

You can get prebuild systems straight from HLG's website. I combined HPS 600w with Vipar 900, and my G/W was just reduced. With a Vipar you will never get the results you desire, will constantly be trying to solve problems and wonder if it's your grow skill that prevents you from getting the yield you want.

In the end it will just make you mad. I switched, and couldn't be happier.

thanks...I’ll study the HLG website for awhile now...😎

You are saying that reduced your yield? what kind of evil magic is that? ☹
Not saying reduced yield, saying that your grams/watt will be less then with a HPS alone.

Here is a thread of mine where I ran HPS 600 with Vipar R900, as you can read, I had quite a bit of troubles,

Here is my latest thread running quantum boards, couldn't be happier:

Here's an example of what you can achieve with Quantum Boards, you will never achieve anything like this with Viparspectra.

So save your money, (quite literally sidnce QB:s are cheaper) and get a quantum board! Cancel your order.

For bargain hunters, you may wanna check out this site: https://kingbriteled.en.alibaba.com...2.html?spm=a2700.icbuShop.98.2.1262562e0h9HiJ

Same diodes and drivers as HLG, possibly different boards; for around 1/2 the price of HLG. Their 480 watt version of the HLG 550 V2 is about $400 shipped to the US - and that's additionally customized with 660nm red, UV and IR diodes. Once I save up some more pennies, that's the route I'm going. Some people do manage to grow some pretty decent buds with the cheapo LED ballasts - Meizhi, Vipar, PFW, Phlizon, etc - but I need all the damn help I can get. I suspect people are raving about their Quantum Boards for very good reasons, so I wanna try to eliminate the sub-par lighting variable from my growing woes. And if they really are significantly cooler running than the other commercially available LED options, that'll be a huge bonus for my particular situation.
