Being a proper Bostonian and third-generation Red Sox fan I want to congratulate the Houston Astros (and give a shout out to my gal Bobbi in H-Town), where they're still celebrating last night's massive victory and overwhelming series lead!

And also let's have a quiet moment to commiserate with the overwhelming disappointment that the New York Yankees and their fans are experiencing



Let's keep it clean and G-rated, there will be no "Yankees Suck" chants, and no off-color comments about their less than attractive fans. However for clarity I will add that those were not poodles in the stands last night, those were the Yankee fans girlfriends.



Aside from those few guidelines feel free to comment on how much you also hate the New York Yankees, and please feel free to leave well wishes for the Houston Astros!

Came back to change 'hate' in initial post, for "very very un-fond of" LOL ;) but was too late. I don't hate the Yankees per se, but being old school Boston Irish I was raised in the bleachers at Fenway throwing insults, (among other things :) ) at Yankee outfielders before I hit High School, it's what we did in the day. Sadly a lot of the old school rivalries and traditions seem to be dying on the vine, though I doubt the red sox-yankees fued ever will.

I suspect you would have to be from one of these two areas to fully understand this old and legendary rivalry, so when we talk about 'hating' the Yankees around here we mean that colloquially, and with due respect, because we know how many times they've knocked the Red Sox out of the playoffs, believe me, we remember :(

This is a sports town, and the Red Sox / Yankees games are the ones we wait for

.. now back to the Celebration! can't wait for tonight! How sweet would it be for Houston to win it tonight right in Yankee Stadium!

Down here in Tampa Florida we have a tons of fans from both teams! . Personally not a baseball fan but we do hit a rays game or two! This year it was a redsox game. My own personal option is the Bostonian’s are much friendlier than most New Yorkers ! lol but just my opinion , had to thrown in the patriots sign.
Oh we also have a great ocean view! No great whites here, but we do have a gator or two! Lmao
And before I go I wanna thank beachwalker for all the info you gave posted on numerous threads very helpful to me! Thanx

An observation on the master blend:
feeding at 500 PPM every other or even every third watering in flower is not enough, about a month in I noticed some yellowing so now I'm watering at the full 870p p.m. and I'm managing to keep the yellow leaves on :/

but the ones that went in later and are still green are going to stay green with the 870ppm. I don't suspect I'll have to increase the total ppm amount but I may increase the Magnesium slightly after two or three weeks in flower (from 1.2g to 1.4g per gallon)

I played around with MB on a plant in a soil pot and burned it. Not terrible but only giving water for the past couple weeks.

These are going into their final 3 gallon pots soon this weekend the latest not sure if I'll use my new soil Blend or straight promix, probably one of each strain in each medium


These are water (cal-mag) droplets on this perfect example of a magnesium deficiency. Doesn't make sense why this plant which is mainly as green as the rest is showing this much of a magnesium deficiency?


then I realized about two weeks ago I dropped an Indian Bubblegum and I bet this is the one that fell!?

I suspected its showing this issue because of the root damage caused from the 12 or 18 inch drop, I had it marked with a popsicle stick when it fell but have since taking it out because it seemed okay initially it just started showing maybe one watering ago

I don't know if I'll keep it for room not because of this issue but it's interesting how a minor drop will come back to haunt me, but I do know that those tiny root ends all tear with that type of impact..

So at the very least I'll stop chasing it with Cal Mag sprays and feedings, there's plenty of all nutrients available, & it's not going to heal until those tiny root ends start growing back no matter what I spray it with or dump in it :/ ..except maybe superthrive, I've got some out there somewhere, will add a little next watering

The Houston Astros are weak and overmatched, this was a surprise to me.

I won't be watching any more baseball this year, go Bruins!

So wait a minute how do the Astros get beaten badly in 2 games in their own stadium..

..and then go to the opponents stadium and despite all the momentum, win?!

I learned that I can't use Master Blend at 600 PPM every third watering. I thought that my new mix with the compost and castings in it would carry further, so I held back on the nutes and now I'm fighting to keep green leaves from yellowing and yellow leaves on the plant!


The good news is some are finishing up in a week, & some are going to take a couple more, but all should be done in under 3 so this nightmare experiment will end soon, and I've got some black dogs and Indian bubblegum ready to go, they're getting into their 3 gallon pots this weekend

I mean you got to give him credit for last year's championship team, but my friend who's the big Houston fan was telling me how glad she was he's gone, and she said next year you'll see why, and all last season I was like no way he's great he's walking on the Charles River LOL

but this year I saw exactly what she meant and I saw it early by the 2nd or 3 week of spring training I knew the Sox were in deep trouble

Go stros! I can't believe it because after the Houston games I did give up on them! I told my friend Bobbi in Houston who's even a bigger baseball head than I am that I'm not even going to watched any more of it (which we both knew wasn't true) She didn't give up at all but I did now I'm going to have to hear from her later today :/ and I'll be taking her phone call from the dog house I'll be in for the remainder of this series LOL
