Great discussion. I have to say, most phenohunters I know feed conservatively but try to keep all the plants happy and see what excels at a baseline using the same feed for all the plants. Hard to do it any other way when you pop hundreds of seeds at a time like the phenohunters I know.. You get a good feel for which ones are keepers even if they're all getting the same feed.

But I agree with MiMed, for phenohunting, seed plants should be grown to maturity before flowering them, you cant get a good idea of the flowers potential flipping seed plants that are days old. Most dudes I know that phenohunt insist on moms having alternating nodes and ideally even preflowers before flowering them out. But food and environment for them is pretty much the same across the board. And conservative.
Yeah that's what I did this grow and next. The one after will be clones in a SOG probably flip at about 10"

Ok getting close to finishing the small room. 10x7x6' 2" lol. Gotta love that height.

Walls and floors are done sealed so tight a mouse fart may blow the door off. Still need to finish the door as I am cutting it out for the AC.

Full environmental controllers heat, AC, humidifier, dehumidifier with co2.

HLG 600 light.will only be doing about a 5x5 area until I get another light.

Still need to move the equipment in.

And yes first real dirt run so feel free to follow along for the challenges.

Sunshine #4 with 25% vermiculite and possibly a bit more perlite with added myco.

Mega crop ferts nothing else added in terms of ferts and will be going tap water since it sits about 12-140ppm

Addatives will be myco and hygrowzyme.

Some pics of where it's at.
Hey what did u use for the floors of ur room?

Yeah less nugzz MWHAHAHAHA! But seriously folks...light penetration would be my guess. Low lying fruit waste of time probably.
Waste of time? have u ever trained a plant? How tall would one have to be to match this plant? Tie down or topping is so u get the most weed from a smaller area and all the weed gets bigger better buds if done correctly

I'd say YES! I have trained a plant. I'm training several right now View attachment 1018870View attachment 1018871
Why does it always have to be a pissing contest when it comes to different strokes for different folks? 👊
I wasn't trying to dis anybody and get 🔥🔥🔥lol I will mainline train every plant in my tent. Granted different genetics but I got as much if not more out of one mainline vs 3 LST on my first grow. Same veg and flower time. Takes longer but worth the wait. Grow a 6ft plant under LEDS and tell me what you think of the lower nugzzz🤩

MIMED I do know of a few growers running the small immature plants to flower, but they are running clones not seeds.
I dont consider myself a breeder. Nor do I consider myself a pro, definitely a novice especially when it comes to indoor but I'm doing a short veg. Not by choice tho only because seeds took almost 8 wks by mail & garage I'm growing in isnt well insulated so I'm racing to beat cold weather.

I'm dealing with similar problems in my garage grow. Crappie insulation & definitely sure I'll run into humidity problems. I'm growing hindu kush so I'm sure humidity will be big factor & as far as making it to harvest I feel you. Good luck!

I feel your struggle bro .... just work as best w the tools u got is all I can suggest cuz it’s what I am doing lol ... got my tent in my uninsulated garage and just laid down new sub flooring ... what I didn’t know was that the new cement even if I run my massive dehumie for a week ... the moisture stay trapped in the new slab for up to 6 months raising the rH of the room. Before was able to keep it at 55-60 easily ... now am barely getting 65 with dehumie running all day lol ... goodluck mate !! Struggle builds character lol

So true! My garage isnt the most ideal for indoor grow but house isnt option with the fam. My buddy is good with construction & offered to help seal off room better. As of right now its wide open & tall ceilings which is nice for tall plants but losing alot of light. Should've invested in tent but my girls been riding me as with what I've spent so far, lol.
