On the subject of seeds only, I'd like to lighten the mood.

Let's play a little game.

Spot the seed.

These are all Gorilla by 00 seeds, now I know none of you will attempt this level of deception

but out of these pics, can you tell me if they're seed or cuttings. For those who know, it's usually pretty easy to spot a clone from a seed

Unless I'm missing something, that's a clone. Theres a 5 bladed leaf at node 1.

Good eye , usually with a clone, the internodes have already started growing alternately, with these(theres 6 in total here 5 larger and 1 little girl im keeping as my mother) they just all kept growing so symmetrical they reminded me of working on seeds, with the topping/fimming and lst going exactly the same as it did on their mother.
I wish I had taken more even looking clones and not left them on purpose to run a few weeks in little pots or they would all be exactly the same now , ive got 18 altogether ready to flip, just contemplating running a sog with them, or splitting them into 2 lights and vegging a week or 2 longer

Seed grows normally have the 2 small Cot leaves at base of trunk ..... Od .
Mines usually lost them like a new skin grows by this stage, theres like a white veil seems to peel away leaving thicker skin underneath, I knew the little diddy one was a giveaway. Im just stunned how evenly the clones have grown, theyre just starting to grow alternate nodes now, although tbf the clones ive taken in the past have always been just after flip. these were taken when I topped/pruned/lst'd my seeds early on

I don't plan on winning but my Dollar General doesn't have solo brand cups. But they did have red plastic ones that are 18oz. I live in a town of less than 3000 people. We take what we can get locally, drive 1.5 hours, or get it in the mail. Is that going to disqualify me? :( <-- real non-smart ass emoji action right there.

Hahah that's what the rules said...! :) Any media as well long as it's in a solo cup.
Cool..πŸ‘ these definitely wouldn't win a challenge but that wasn't the intention anyway. Hopefully good practice for down the road. They're on week 3

Still working out the kinks with the dollar store DWC ...def weak spot I want to work on

Week three? Flowering right? Honestly I'm curious with respect to whether or not bonsai techniques work as well when the soil volume is vertical vs a shallow pot. I'm thinking about popping some beans for a practice run on that perpetual thread.

So far it seems like an exercise in futility keeping such root bound plants happy but I guess that's what bonsai is right? Haha
