Im sure that does help and the seed knows it..ive tried with lights on and it can dry out the top soil quickly killing the tap root.ive had quite a few failers putting seed outside and the sun drying the ground too quickly.sometimes i will put the small pots in a clear gladwrap like plastic bag asto keep the moisture in pot or mini hot house.ive grown most on my window sill when i see them coming up. and keeping an eye on the moisture content..before they come up are in my room on top of wardrobe where its warm..

A million ways to skin a cat lol, mine is fairly basic and always done it this way, warm water in paper towel in plastic bag, and paper towel wet. lots of air in bag and put in warm dark area, the more humidity in the bag the better. I don't plant until I have at least 1 inch roots, that should be no more then 2 maybe 3 days, the ones that are not close don't make it to soil , if there a really vigorous or i'm late getting to them the seed is already off, roots always down with just the top of seed covered under very little light for the first few day until plant is up about an inch. always seems to work for me

Pulled the trigger tonight on a new Ethos strain, just to have something on hand. It's called "End Game RBX"........it looks just like other Cookies I've done from Ethos. My only complaint before was the yield was a bit disappointing- I think this one should excel under the LED's.

Web EndGame PunchLine

Cherry Punch x (Cherry Punch x Ethos Cookies #16) x Ethos Cookies #4

Flowering Time 8-9 weeks
Outdoor: Big and fast!
Yield: Friggin' Huge!!
Total Cannabinoids: 25%

Terpenes: Pungent!! Sweet Berries and Sour Cherries

Morphology: She has a fantastic structure. Most are medium-height. All show strong vertical branching, closely stacked flower-sets and a very high calyx-to-leaf ratio. Easy to grow for any situation.

Well, 2 schools of thought. In the Orange Gasm thread we discussed (and linked a study) that showed the purple was a natural plant reaction whatever UV lighting the LED’s were giving off. The purpling can also be an indication of an Mg deficiency. So, although they both probably look a bit different on the plant with the UV purpling more aligned to “streaking” on the stems and not full stem coloring, 1) better safe than sorry as I use a reverse osmosis device that strips out all the Cal/Mag so I should bump it up anyway and 2) Rasta Jeff from Irie Seeds states to remove the
purpling stems first when defoliating. So, probably not anything wrong with them. I’m just taking a more preventative stance early in the grow.

Contest updated with guesses............ just so you guys know, the O/U line in the game along is hovering around 56-57 points. It's rare a SuperBowl goes far under the betting line, plus you still need to add turnovers and sacks into the equation. I'll let you all change your picks up until and including this Sunday, a week before the game. Then you'll be locked in. Also, one change. If I am closest without going over, I reserve the right to declare myself the winner and keep the seeds until the next contest.

The chiefs are also down both all-pro tackles fwiw. But yeah i am too low probably.

I haven't watched a down of football all year tbh. Used to love football but I've gone off the boil....i have no attachment to any teams since the lions are the lions and the players move around so constantly. Plus a lot of the players, coaches, owners, etc are real scumbags. Tyreek Hill (woman beater) comes to mind.

Yup, pro sports on the whole has taken a nose dive. As I said earlier, if it wasn’t for the betting, golf would probably be the only thing I’d watch. And that’s boring as hell too.

Yeah i used to watch for fantasy football but my league broke up and most of us play poker on Sundays with poker stars and zoom instead. We settle up after each game lol.

I see Ethos has three "End Game" strains.......... the biggest difference is the one i did not buy has Mandarin Sunset in it's genetics and I was a bit worried that would bring along some hermie traits. The one I chose also yields a bit heavier I believe. Here's the 2nd one..........

1. "End Game #3 x End Game #5"
[Cherry Punch x Ethos Cookies #16] x [ Ethos Cookies #4 x Mandarin Sunset] Cherries and gas, w/ orange, and grape undertones

VS.

2. "Cherry Punch x (Cherry Punch x Ethos Cookies #16) x Ethos Cookies #4" (the one I bought) - cherries and berries.

And just saw a third one......

3. "Ethos Cookies #4 x End Game V1 #5" - Flowers longer and doesn't yield as well as the others

You are opening a can of worms......

Like most breeders, there’s good and bad. There’s a history of hermies thru a lot of their strains, and the owner Colin has a long history of animal and girlfriend abuse among other items on a 3 page rap sheet and prison time. He’s definitely a piece of shit.

With that though, I’ve had great success with the Chem OG and Zsweet Inzanity strains and lousy success with Apex, MemberBerryand 1-2 others. The rest were ok, not great but not terrible. Remember, it’s a group of growers and Colin is more a figurehead out promoting and not necessarily doing the growing- which is probably a good thing.

There’s many reports of him being a blowhard at his regional Denver shows, and that turns a lot of people off. But with that, they like to breed heavy yield into a lot of things they do so I keep going back to them because of that.

Lastly, they move a lot of seeds so most of their things are fresh and sprout nearly 100%. There stuff also has great bag appeal, even if it doesn’t get you high. Their thc numbers are also way inflated. So take the good and bad, roll the dice and pray.

For the very last time............. I've fielded a lot of questions over the years about Ethos genetics, mainly because (and I'm not bragging here)- I was one of the first guys to really bring them to the forefront on RIU and other pot threads. I did their stuff for over 2 years back in 2017-2019 and you can find many of my grows on RIU. Others were doing it before me on Instagram and I'm not on there, but in these types of threads, I'd betcha I have more views and reports than any of them (at least back then).

With that, you can all tell I have mixed feelings but still buy their stuff when I get the urge so I haven't sworn off them even though I've stated I have. There is a 29 page thread on Ethos at RIU which I'm going to link. I'm not sure if this is the thread that has his actual police rap sheet report on it........ I think I copied if off of ICMag or Overgrow and know I posted it somewhere on RIU. It may be in here or may not, but there were some complaints about it when I did it as people thought it wasn't "fair" I'd share that. It's out there someplace, for sure, and one guy, who I suspect was Colin- really laid into me for doing it. LOL

https://www.invalid.com/t/ethos-seeds.910288/page-2

You will see some of the complaints regarding hermies in this thread and some success stories too of course. I offer no opinion as to whether to buy their stuff or not, it's all a crap shoot anyway. I'm here to tell you there's way better stuff available, In House brand being one of them. But their beans are $200-$300 a pack these days, and Ethos still tops out around $100 for a pack of 6-10 fem's. I buy a lot of seeds, so I'd rather spend $300 for a strain then $600, as I normally need 24-28 beans to make a run of it.

I'm hoping this is the last time I have to address an Ethos question, unless it's specific to a strain I've done or know about. Most of the breeders out there today are in it for the money, and it's become a highly competitive business. A few of them or their companies are really good people, most are not. Sannie was always one of my favorites and still is for his honesty and trust worthyness. Irie Seeds is another I tend to trust. I don't trust Ethos and neither should you. But that doesn't mean it's not worth throwing a few hundred bucks at them with hopes of getting some nice genetics.

So no more Ethos stuff, please ask someone else. They gotten far too much attention in my threads........
