Sorry to hear that Ace. That sucks.. It's the time of year when rippers are out. I have a 100+lb dog that I've been leaving outside and I'm worried about 1 plant getting jacked. It's constantly on my mind that someone is going to rip it while I'm gone. I know guys in australia who put razor wire in with their plants but I dunno how I feel about that. then again I've never been ripped before (knock on wood) so I don't know the feeling.

My plant is pretty damn close to being finished so I might just take it down this evening before someone else takes the liberty. this is the problem with growing in urban areas, nosy people peeping over or through your fence. It's about 50/50 if your crop is gonna get ripped living in a big city. there's just too much exposure to people. Even my dog won't thwart some people, they'll just wait until we go to bed or we're gone. I just had some guys come by to trim my neighbors trees this morning and I saw one of them pointing out my plant to another guy he was working with. I would say my plant has less than a week left. 4 day early bud is better than no bud.

Now the issue is that these people who ripped you know you grow at your place and they'll probably be back peeping over your fence again next year.

I'm gonna start working with some mighty might and crossing it into some of my strains to see of I can get a strain that finishes in early sept. Mighty might is supposedly done before september (mid august) and have a piney flavor. the faster strains never seem to be as dank as the slower ones. I'm gonna do a mighty might X romulan for sure so if you wanna grow out some beans to see how well the cross works for CO climate I'll throw some your way.

Ace, how was the smell of the blackberry kush? I have a friend in mendocino county who runs that strain and he was speaking very highly of it. He told me I needed a cutting of it.

I am more worried about the fact they know I can grow. Well They know I do a decent job. I am done with outdoor, I even stayed compliant to what I had indoor and out. And the last thing I need is someone breaking into the house. Does anyone know the law about owning a gun and growing mmj? I mean if you are in compliance are you allowed to have a firearm? I never had one because of my grows, but now that I am legal I am curious. Not that it is worth shooting anyone over a plant, it is more or less a sick feeling of invasion of privacy. I don't even want to leave and get cat food ahahahha.

Owning firearms and growing is still a BIG federal no no. I haven't heard of any cases in CO where people had MMJ and firearms and the state charged them with a firearms crime. I still have a shotgun, I'm old school and I hate zombies (mossberg 930 spx). I wouldn't think the state cares as long as you're 100% compliant and not trying to pull some edibles plant count crap. There becomes the issue of if you're using the firearm to guard your crop or to protect yourself.

I would go buy some bear spray if you want some protection that's not a firearm. that shit is gnarly as all hell, it puts out a 20ft fog of pepper spray from a can that looks like a small fire extinguisher. You can also buy .50cal air rifles that'll take down a moose. I would opt for the bear spray, they have it at gander mountain or sportsmans warehouse or call a local outfitter and ask them (support local if you can).

The plant itselt was amazing. Big yeilder, smells kinda fruity at times then bland at others. The buds the rippers so kindly left for me are hanging right now and new smells kept coming out with every pinch of the scissors. The pistils started turning a vibrant purple with the colder nights we had been having. I have a cut of it down stairs that I took of the stolen plant a few months ago, going to try it indoors. Will probably have a better description of it when it is allowed to finish properly.

So if I don't own a firearm and haven't then I probably should just stick to bludgen objects? ahaha Just kidding, guess its time to get me a dog, or three.

Ill post up some pics of what the crappers left me.

Came home to an empty garden today, it is a sad day. Trampled grass, big missing plant, and the sad thing is it wasn't even done. I guess growing outside will not work for me. They had a 3 hr window after my girlfriend left, and I got home. They left me a lot of lower branches, but just completely ripped the thing out. Followed leaves to the back gate. Live and learn I guess. Hope everyone else has better luck.

Ace

Wow man, I'm so sorry. I cried a little when I read that. Fuck rippers, man, that really really sucks!

Outdoor is so amazing too, alows me to go big, not so refined. Might be time to move to the western slope. I need about 70 acres ahaha, and a job. Anyone know of any?

Don't worry guys and gals, I am ok. Really wanted a drink when I found this out, but theres no DAMN beer in the fridge! Oh well, I will just go check out my girls downstairs and be thankful they are about to come down tonight. SCISSOR hash for me tonight!

Ace, sorry man that sucks. I'm glad you still have some indoor to fall back on at least.

Damn dude...sorry its like that...I'd be happy to pass ya a cold one and roll one up for ya!

And hell yea on the western slope, every time I'm out there, I think, man, what would I give for a 2,000 sq. ft. climate controlled greenhouse in Mesa county....gotta keep dreaming though...

A quick shot from my buddy's balcony. The front two are DJ Short F13 & the big one in the back is Mosca Negra Killer Queen.

I've known a few cops in my life. I can tell you for sure, because every one of them told me the same thing, that the person who suggested pepper spray or mace if you want to protect yourself was dead on. That is the weapon that police WANT to see you use. If you use a spray then they will be on your side assuming you were acting in defense.

I had one cop explain it too me this way... If we show up and you hit the guy with a bat, stabbed him, or shot him, then we are going to arrest you and then work out if you will be charged or not. If we show up and the guy is rolling around on the ground with pepper spray in his eyes, we are going to laugh our asses off and pat you on the back for a job well done.

So go with the mace, because the cops think that is hillarious:-)

Ya, I will get something. I am going to invest in cameras for the property, and a large,LOYAL dog. I want a gun, because I am mad. But I cant even kill a snake. I guess I could shoot something if it was me or that something, but hopefully will never be put in that situation. I do think about it when I go hiking alone, which is a big no no, I know, but it is how I blow off steam.

Luckily I have kept busy the last few hours trimming a bunch off indoor. You might catch pics on the bud porn link for colorado in a few days when I finally finish. AAAAANND my girlfriend brought me home a rack of highlife....works gonna blow tomorrow ahahahha.

Thanks for the good vibes guys, I know I am not a super grower or anything, but I think, and my friends will agree, I do good work.

You should be kicking ass this year. This is the warmest and dryest fall I have seen in a long time.

Colorado's different weather regions trip me out....80 down here and freezin at the base of the hills, pours rain two miles from me and it is dry as a bone here..no rhyme or reason..

Tex

I hear ya tex. if it snows 6ft across the valley it snows 6in at my place. no rhyme or reason.
