    First timer! Need some help.

My experience with bud rot is that it moves very quickly. I think you'd be lucky to have anything left to harvest if you were to wait 2 weeks. Good luck-

Struggling to identify what's going on here

Yes to calmag. 1 tsp / gallon every other watering. They aren't in particularly bad shape, but they'll look better in a week or two.

    Grove Bags Yes? No? Why?

I just did a 4-week A/B test Grove bags / jars and the RH tracked perfectly. The bags may have a slight tendency to compress the buds, but my grows are so loose anything would smush these buds.

I believe this is about ready?

Great looking bud, but I don't see much amber yet. Couple more weeks, maybe.

outdoor white widow auto yellow bud sites

Day 52 of White Widow auto, outdoor, ocean forest soil, feeding recommended fox farm trio every other watering, just started weekly cal-mag. Any thoughts on these yellowing bud sites?

Trimming buds - how little can I get away with?

Growing just for myself, which is to say I'm not super-concerned with appearance, and it turns out I have very little patience for manicuring these buds. Seems I have a lazy streak! I wet-trimmed to this point, and the stuff smokes fine with a few leaves still present. What are your thoughts...

Is a cooler drying shed with lower RH good or bad?

I shoot for 60 degrees and 60% RH in my drying area. So iff the temperature drops to 55 and the RH drops to 55, is that good or bad? I have this theory that the sum of the temp and RH should be 120-130...just a dumb index idea. I know hot and dry is bad for hanging, but cold and dry? When it's...

    Is this the powdery mildew?

I haven't used it so close to harvest, but potassium bicarbonate (1TBSP / gal) did a better job than all the other options for me on WPM. Milk, LCPT, H2O2 sorta worked but the potassium bicarb gave me the best results.

Direct sun vs. partial sun vs. shade in flower

I'm growing two plants central Virginia outdoors in grow bags; guessing a couple of weeks from harvest. They're spent their lives in good direct sun in the back yard. I have a more discreet spot that I'd like to put them until I chop, but it's shadier, and at the woodline. WPM and the rot that...

    Harvest today really low rh

Hi - I just ran into this thread on a "wedry" search. May I ask your opinion of the wedryer? I'm thinking of using one.

Thank a farmer, from a new Virginia grower

I germinated 5 seeds in early May. Put the shoots in regular old miracle grow potting soil in solo cups for a month or so, putting them outside as much as I could, then put them in their forever pots. I didn't want to mess with all 5 and don't have a ton of room so I kept the best and worst of...

Thank a farmer, from a new Virginia grower

We're in the country on a couple of acres so I've been able to just put a couple of plants in my back yard without any issues, so outdoor is the natural choice. And indoor space is limited...no basement, garage is full of freezers and tools. It's been really hot and humid and the air doesn't...

Thank a farmer, from a new Virginia grower

I've been lurking a ton and learning a lot. Even posted a time or two. I live in central Virginia and am growing for the first time. Girl Scout Cookie outdoor in 15-gallon grow bags using Foxfarm soil and nutrients. Trying to keep it simple and organic. Before I go any further, I have to send...

little insect poop balls on my plant

Outdoor grow / Virginia. Some little bug pooping around my buds?? The marked up picture shows the little balls that are pretty widely dispersed around the plant. Also a couple of pictures of possible culprits. Overall the plant seems healthy, but these have popped up suddenly. Thoughts from the...

    pH probe device for soil

Two-plant outdoor fabric pot noob grower here. What's the word on this kind of device? Are they accurate? I get widely divergent readings around the same pot (which is full of hair roots and a 6' flowering GSC plant, I am happy to report).

Will this pot ever dry out??

Girl Scout Cookie, outdoor central Virginia grow, in Ocean Forest with added biochar / fabric grow pot outside since late May, er, I mean July 1. Occasional pests, powdery mildew. Spraying every three days with Neem or LCPT or Pyrethrum. I realized 10 days ago that I had over-watered, and at...

    Yellow leaves, critters, getting worse

Thanks for this! I was not familiar with LCPT. I'll give that a shot. It must be good, as expensive as it is!😉

    Yellow leaves, critters, getting worse

Rookie, growing outdoors, Girl Scout Cookie from seed, in Ocean Forest soil. My other plant looks great. Germinated early May, potted in early June, I've had a little of everything with this problem child. Powdery mildew (I wiped off and sprayed with hydrogen peroxide and that seemed to help)...
