Is UV supp really needed w LEDs???

UV-B light is beneficial to plant growth, however, it can destroy DNA, and is very dangerous for Melanoma, when a person is exposed to this radiation. UV-A is used by plants and will boost trich resin production. Using UV-B light to grow better buds is too dangerous IMHO. The risks of light...

I am in need of a good nutrient reccomendation

Jack’s nutrients from JR Peters Inc. A very good product for cannabis, and a super value when purchasing larger quantities. Best bang for your buck IMO. Powder is much cheaper than liquid nutrients products. I have tried most of the popular expensive growing liquid nutrients, and Jack’s...

    PH A Basic explanation

Excellent information and explanation. I found an excellent Cal/mag product for buffering your coco. Its from TPS nutrients called Organic CalMag OAC. 4.5% calcium 1.1% magnesium, derived from calcium carbonate and calcium magnesium carbonate. Cheers!

Flowering in coco - any difference from soil?

So the burned up pistils in the middle is light burn. This is why the quantum board spider farmer light is not optimum. The Center PPFD is way too hot compared to the outside perimeter. Also the IR output on the Spider Farmer is pretty intense and you can get a sunburn being under that light...

Light time change from Veg to Flower?

When you’re ready to flip just turn your light off for 24 hours. This extended dark period will start the flowering process. Tapering off the light over time is a waste of grow time. Simply cut off the lights for a uninterupted dark period of 24 hours.

Tired of no-pops from seed companies-vent

I have had 100% germination rate so far. However, I had a few plants fail during the grow. I think germination technique affects more failures than the quality of the seed IMHO. Use spring water to germinate always! Its magical elixir for seeds.
