How did everyone’s 2025 harvest turn out? Show me pics please!!

Hey everyone, it’s been quite awhile since I posted here. I’m kind of a late night, insomniac, sporadic type of poster. I apologize, I wish I had more time to get to know the good folks here. I finally finished my outdoor 2025 harvest. I used 3 bottles of iso in order to finish trimming, just to...

Diary of a Tree Farmer in a farm town

New entry: a little over a month since the last pics. Having a bit of trouble with low nitrogen of all things. Had some prematurely yellowing fan leaves in the lower middle of some of the plants, so I tested the soil again and found it to be low in nitrogen. I amended with about 10 lbs blood...

Little trees this year in the northeast

My outdoor grow this year is smaller than last year. Height is about 7.5-8 feet. Last year I had 9.5 foot tall ladies. Weather wasn’t on our side this year. Thankfully wind hasn’t gotten them. These are crazy train and sour cherry diesel pictured. Hoping to get a decent harvest anyways. Super...

Lucky ladybugs have come to visit

Nice! Gotta love nature. I had tobacco hornworms on my tomatoes one year but the parasitic wasps took care of them for me. Just hope the lady bugs stick around. I think instructions when you buy them are to release them around this time of year and they’ll settle in and stay awhile.

Lucky ladybugs have come to visit

I got lucky this year. I went out to inspect my plants this evening and I came upon a whole bunch of ladybugs settled into my plants. I haven’t had a whole lot of bug damage because I’ve been using lost coast plant therapy, but ladybugs are always a a welcome sight, especially when they are...

Diary of a Tree Farmer in a farm town

My girls are happy girls. They’re just starting to go into flower this past week. Getting bigger by the hour it seems. The tallest one is the Crazy Train, taller than me by a couple inches. I’m 5’5”. These are 4 different strains. I have 8 beautiful ladies. 2 Sour Cherry Diesel, 2 Crazy Train, 1...

Trichomes not turning amber, first grow.

Also, use the buds themselves as the meter by which you decide to harvest. Often you'll find amber on the sugar leaves before the buds are ready to harvest. I think I see a little amber here and there in one of your pics, but it's really hard to tell.

Trichomes not turning amber, first grow.

Hi, Your trichome pics taken outside won't look the same as they do indoors. That looks like an auto? It looks like a very happy plant! I would personally wait until about 10-15% of them turn amber. Sometimes it seems like it's the proverbial pot that is watched and won't boil. It will happen...

First time trying clones. They went from this to this…

I had this gorgeous plant that had purple trichs. It was a Mofeta Sangrante (bloody skunk). It has the True Blood genes and the sap was also red. I decided to try cloning it for the first time, never tried cloning before. The thing was it was already in flower by a few weeks. I tried anyways...

Diary of a Tree Farmer in a farm town

Thanks!! They are loving this weather. Finally. Started off this summer cold and rainy. I can’t wait to see what I get out of this garden. Just hope fall is warmer later.

Diary of a Tree Farmer in a farm town

They’re not trees yet, they’re more like big bushes, but I’m satisfied with the veg growth for this past month. I just came to check the growth against the last pics I posted and I’m pleased so far. Been using Roots Organics dry amendments and Lost Coast plant therapy for the bugs. We’ve had...

Diary of a Tree Farmer in a farm town

Finally getting the weather I need to allow my girls to thrive. Summer started off cold and rainy and they did not like it much and stagnated for a week or two. It's been 99-104 here the past few days and the sativas in my outside garden are loving it. This girl here is a Crazy Train. I topped...

Diary of a Tree Farmer in a farm town

The weather has been gorgeous the last two days and my girls are praying nicely. They just look happy. We put our irrigation in today and I mulched around the edges with the extra salt marsh hay from my veggie garden. Mulching with salt marsh hay seems to be an east coast phenomenon. The bales...

Diary of a Tree Farmer in a farm town

Thanks, the different color fabric is making me a little crazy but I had to use up the black stuff I had first. I have 2 Sour Cherry Diesel, 1 Cherry Lime Reserve, 2 Crazy Train, and 3 Green Apple Candy. All from the same seed vendor. I’m eager to see how they do. Hoping for an extended summer.

Diary of a Tree Farmer in a farm town

The weather has finally turned for the better, today was gorgeous, and just in time. The chilly rain has stunted my little girls. At almost a month old, they should be bigger. However, they appear healthy, and they are loving the heat and the sun that's finally arrived. I topped most of them...

Second Grow - Going Hydro, Baby!

Some of those trees in my pic are OG Kush, the biggest colas came from the OG last year. The others are Pineapple Express. I have been smoking for over 32 years, so my tolerance has grown over the years, parallel to the increase in potency. It's been 9 or 10 years since I have consumed alcohol...

Second Grow - Going Hydro, Baby!

I apologize for my late reply. I will eventually always answer, just a bit sporadic with time spent online. Those trees grew 8-9 feet tall and yielded an average of a pound a plant. One plant gave us two pounds, so our total was just over 9 lbs. Pretty happy with that result. We started with 10...
