I'm a hybrid engineer ( a senior Network at heart but have been coding/learning frameworks for the last few years)

If you are new or wanting to something learn something new, pick up a language and a framework like Python and SaltStack or C and Ansible. I wish I would've focused on both younger and i would've built my own app and owned a company or two by now. Shit will take you to another level of engineering. Being an expert in networking and software is like having two swords...or two dicks whichever floats your boat.

Because I'm not selling weed. I'm an engineer by day here in the bay area. I am growing now to learn how to grow mass and just keeping all the smoke for myself or giving it to friends. I smoke about a half zip a day so yea.

I can afford the learning curve but appreciate the grow tips from this thread honestly. And those damn lights

Are those indicas and did you top those? And my bad as well lol every one just keeps coming to this thread and repeating the same thing the last person said. It's gotten me on edge with this forum and considering on not posting again lol. Because when things are wrong everyone wants to say it. It's like okay I get it, after reading the same thing 10 times I'm not longer trying to give polite answers.

Don't take it the wrong way, all those people repeating the same thing want you to have some amazing plants and will probably keep telling you how to do it until you start see the same results they have become accustomed to. Just like you would have done things differently as a young engineer if you knew then what you know now, you have an opportunity here to learn from others experience and mistakes to take a nice shortcut to becoming the best mass grower you can be.

I've just about finished my degree in electrical engineering technology no industry experience yet :/ have a little coding / automation experience with C and a bit of networking too however coding was not my strength and specialised in power protection systems rather than continuing down the coding/ networking route.

I smoke a lot of top shelf here from dispensaries. Usually connected and alienlabs but also shit like big Al's sherbinskis up north and few other brands. So I'm spending anywhere from $4k-6k on weed a month from a shop lol....2007 me would beat 2019 me up but times have changed for ya boy (insert money falling and booty cheeks clapping)

Why dont you just hire a consultant? I mean if your paying that much just to buy weed, you could hire someone to do it all & learn from them hands on

I thought the dispensarys here (Reno, NV) had pretty good weed..until I grew my own..No comparison and I am not the best grower out there either..

I'll take a look in a bit. But I dont remove a whole lot after week 1 of flower. Lately i remove the lower growth at the end of veg and when I transition to flower I prune them up to 1 or 2 nodes at the tip of each branch and a few leaves. But thats because I pack them in there. I only keep what develops during the stretch really.

And to the OP, I had an indica dominant and a sativa dominant hybrid in that room. 2 strains.

Do any of you use MOAB for a finisher in the last 2-3 weeks of flower? Any takes on it? I just tried some in my plants. They recommended 1-2 TSP per 5 gallons so I did .4 TSP per 1 gallon (on the higher side of the recommendation) and spread that lightly over 15 plants per run. Didn't want to over do it.

My grow student does and likes it..it is VERY potent stuff, so less is more.

MOAB is a very high P supplement. I wouldnt feed that to your plants at all personally, but definately not anywhere near the end of flower. High P at the end of flower will cause the pot to burn poorly with black ash.

Man I become totaly diffrent person when on a break. When smoking Im very easy going and chill. But kinda retarded and a weak little pussy bitch. When I dont smoke Im so easily irritated but I get shit done and noone dares to fuck with me. Its both good and bad in both. If I continue to mix things up, I never ever experience tolerance..PLUS I dab all day long (retired and need to stay medicated and thus pain free). It has been over 3 years of 24x7 consumption and no problems at all. I do remember tolerance though...back in the day, when we had only one strain to smoke at a time..Mexicali Manure..LOL

Same. I'm sitting on 8 different strains in my stash right now and each is unique. Luckily I have a lot of buddies who grow and we often swap and share so nobody gets sick of what they're growing.
