One thing fer sure, I have my ph swing under control......just in reverse, but im managing it. Low around 5 when I wake, adjust it up all day.

You run coco too shady? Im gonna 50/50 my room this next rd. Id like to talk w someone that has a little experience w coco. I grabbed up roots org coco and I was gonna run calmag, dmaster, add27, zone, and some boosters. Wasnt sure about a contin top feed, or drain to waste? Also how hot to run em early in this media..

Yeah, I run coco DTW with B'cuzz Coco and Chunky Perlite #4 in a 1:1 ratio in 2 gal or 3 gal smartpots. I have a drip manifold system controlled by a Sentinel MDT-1. When I first transplant, I water by hand until the roots are established and once the girls require water daily, I start to automate with the Sentinel. I use low PPM's and drip until there is about 5% runoff every 3 or 4 hrs during lights on about the 2nd wk of bloom until harvest... :cool

BTW, I've been lurking in the cuts until you posted those bud shots... I had a feeling they looked better than the way you were describing their growth. I realize you say there's root rot... But before you seemed to be adjusting the nutrient mix either daily or every other day. I've said it before and I'll say it again, patience is the key with the UC. No need for frequent res changes, frequent pH adjustments, etc. I generally only adjust the pH once every 3 or 4 days if the girls look good... :thinking

My ph drops 1-1.5 in 12-24 hrs depending on ZONE.
If I keep "zone" dosage at med, the drop is only .5 in a day. When the zone starts to evaporate, my ph will fall from 5.8 to 4.2 while I sleep! (9 hrs maybe) Im topping off with r.o balanced ph to 6.5. PLUS adding back about 20-40ml ph up through out the day.

I decided to let it ride several times til ph hit 3.9, there's no way the ladies will make it without me holding their hands til the end. I wonder if I have something wrong with my system outside rot. Reason I ask is because the tiny amount of rot I have found, really ain't shit?!

The plants just cant fight it off I guess? few weeks left. I really like my uc and have figured out several areas of improvement where I made mistakes.

I actually have a ph doser from brs and a milwaukee meter/monitor. Id hook that shit up if I didnt have these little issues.

I'm still torn on going full blast at the entire setup one more time...

Maybe all the "dust" in the bottom of your res. was clay dust from the hydroton....this will def. lower your pH.

Maybe....by week 6 of flower your res changes have cleared away all the clay dust and now your water ph will rise instead of fall?

Just a thought, clay dust lowers pH, no clay dust and pH will rise normally.

Today was one of 2 times my ph sat flat for more than 12hrs. Im hopeful it changes for the better. Guess I'm all in for rd2 since my cuts are in net pots for veg now. Scary!
