im looking for something better but also cooler were a flir rolling buy just dont pick up serious heat

You wont like this answer but i like cobs or strips/ bars for any next upgrade.

That said. I will still likely run a room or the 4x8 tent i havent used yet to do 2 hortilux 600’s with the solis tech ballasts and 1 315lec in the middle. For quality and leaf to calyx ratio i dont think it could be beat. But hot as hell. Would need excellent ventilation and a/c in summer here.

But i have all that stuff so no investment.

ya i seen the one yall talking about other day,out of my league im broke dick, hahahah,i seen the socket that just screws in my hid socket and thought what the difrence from a 315 and a 440 watt ballast, both are digital

az2000 had me sold on the 315ra sun cmh but the cost is up there, I'm sure you can get it at a good price you know people...........
the reason I sent it back was the $$$$ I didn't think it was worth it and I don't want to deal with the heat later on ..... and I'm happy with my leds

Sounds like MIM would agree

I need to also add that part of the reason I sent back was $$ that was the cost to run them........ My GOAL Here is to be off the grid and on solor within 2 yrs with just a back up gen... so I had to add the cost to run them into that system.......

If I was going to be on the grid I would of used the 315cmh for sure............ most the people I know use cmh in ca.....
Power if your on the grid isn't a problem , cause Most Growers KNOWS a Electrician........ Every Grow I know doesn't pay sh.t for there grow in power

When i go to led i will use the same wattage I use now but should get much higher yield per watt.

Getting power off the grid isn't a problem..... lol

Hah. No worries mang. I hear you about off grid though. I have a piece of land up country with no services atm. Was thinking of getting a container and a whack of solar panels. Only problem is, it's a 6 to 7 hour drive there. So pretty much vacation and long weekends only.

It would have to be mostly automated. I could show up once a month. Regular, and I get 4 weeks a year vacation, soon to be 5 weeks. So I can be up there most of that time. Correspond it with the major crop times... but meh. Too much work. I'll just wait till I build up there.

it was me ,for both you cats,i would find me a small diesal motor and build my own generator, deisal can be made from fast food grease if your really wanting off grid, just saying,i have looked at whole house generators for 10 yrs,i just cant justify the cost for what it is.
im a mechanic and making a gen is no problem and could biuld one 3 times the size of what they cost, ive got a 305 chevy engine im going to swap for another block and it a good canidate for the gen,the only issue gas be propane or reg gas,in emergency that isnt easy to find, but i also have a 150 gal propane tank, just throwing it out there for yall to think about

Yeah a small diesel genset would be nice. I have a 14kw natural gas generac guardian. It wasn't cheap, but the wife insisted. Now that u have it though, I'm sure I'll be flipping it to propane and moving it out to my property once I build on it.

Eric has a BIG BOY Diesel..... on a 250 gal tank.....
the problem here and I have to weight it in is the trees also.....

Sry guys it's raining and Igot a lot done all ready so I may be on here a lot today

thats why i mentioned the gen,im going to convert to propane on the chevy motor, the motor is got about 2 thousand mile on it,and getting parts and blocks if needed isnt a problem, propane is safer storage than gas imo
