The clones bounced back, and I took more. Yesterday, I got off my ass and set up a bubble bucket in a separate tent for the clones

So far I have removed 3 male plants. The most shocking was on the far right. He looked completely female until the coconuts appeared. I moved him outside will replant in coco. I might collect the pollen to F2 a couple female branches, which I am pretty sure are Blueberry Cheesecake

I cut the light hours about a week ago.

Due to the impressive bud development in the other tents after just a few days of using Emerald Harvest Cali Bloom, I will be replacing the HR V + B (that I normally use for flowering as well) in this tent with EH Cal Bloom 2 part + a bunch of EH supplements

See my Hail Hydro thread for pics of the sat bulking- hell Hulking up

Yippee The big plant (sat) in the back is a girl

Time to change nutes in her and the smaller female on the left side in the L

Only the 2 squat fatties near the front are still being fed HR, but as soon as I get more RO water they two will be in Cali Bloom 2 Part

I moved the plant from the back (now on the left) into another Mini Me F & D, and turned the light and plants 90*s to provide easier access. Also this allowed me to put both rezes in a cooler, which should keep rezes cooler longer, similar to my tent with 2 plants in it. That rez is in my Bubble Bath Igloo.

Thinking to put the nutes directly in the cooler sans rez buckets, but then I would need to use my wet vac to suck them out when replacing, which I do weekly. TBC

Unfortunately I neglected to get the cooler into the pictures

The girls are doing great, little doubt thanks to me adjusting pH twice a day

I will try to remember to turn the hot5 off so we can more accurately see what's happening

My friend gifted me a couple dozen dispensary seeds (~ 4 different strains) from California, though he could not tell which ones, he said they were all excellent.

That said, he likes couch lock strains, I do not, but have a few friends who do also, so I popped 6 seeds in water this morning

In addition to them, I have 4 clones taken from my fattest plants

Some gremlins have gotten into my hot5 tent.

2 days ago the tote on the left fell forward during the night, separating the tubing, so all the nutes poured out as the pump cycled. Thankfully, the plant did not break, but was bruised.

This morning the plant on the right had the same experience. Again, the plant did not break, but nutes were drained into the tent floor.

However, I noticed her lower branches are quite wispy. Had I only grown her I might think it was the light, but the other two have sturdy branches.

Taking pics from higher up instead of from the side eliminated a lot of the red tint created by the 1:1 between white and red tubes

The cola is from the middle plant

Can't really complain about the result to date, BUT, 8 led tubes ~@ $70= $560 + ~ $250-$300 for the fixture. Amare now has a 3ft bar @ 250w said to cover 2 x 4 for $795. I can't wait to get one

I've been noticing a marked difference between the pistils under my Amare LED panels and those under the TL LED tubes. Now, this could well be due to the significantly increased intensity of the Amares. Alas, I cannot raise the Amare panels to the recommended height, so what I am seeing could be the equivalent of sun burn.

This morning I decided to take pre-lights on pictures (more accurate color). This was hard as I had to use a small hand held led plus focus the camera

Unfortunately, I don't have a macro lens to get real close ups, but I think you'll see how much fluffier the pistils are under the TLs. What impact that has, I don't know, but it certainly would help for pollen catching

First two pics are close ups under the Amare SE 250

The likely reason why the pistil difference is/was using the glass lenses when I only have ~ 12" above each canopy. According to Amare I was giving them a sunburn= too much intensity for that height: I need taller tents. Since the led hot5s don't generate much intensity, their leafs did not crisp up. Nevertheless, they are looking damned fine

This morning I trimmed a bunch of the crispy primary leafs under the SE 250

Pistils and buds goin wild now

The cola is from the middle plant. The wide shot is mostly the 2 plants to the left of the third plant

I harvested the sat under the SE 220 yesterday, making room for the small plant on the left to get better lighting under the SE 220

Here's last pic with her under the hot5s

The cola is from the tallest plant in the middle

~ 30% of the pistils are red. Started a pre-flush this morning- needed to clean the rez, air stones and pump filter anyway

Hourly cycles

Scratchin' my head:

The plant on the left (see previous post pic) is a near identical twin to the one under the Amare SE 250 (different thread) BUT it has >80% red pistils, whereas her twin has < 10%. Both are getting the same nutes. Is it the light? No!

The plant to her right (under the hot5) is from same seeds, but a different pheno. It has no red pistils. Both are fed from the same rez :opps:

I'm going to move her to the SE 220 where I can put her on a flush diet

It dawned on me after moving the near twin sister (same strain, pheno) that had spent her entire life under the TL 240w hot 5 tubes to the SE 220 a few days ago, that a comparison could be made to essentially her twin who spent half her life under the TL D200, and the last month under the Amare SE 250

Both got the same nutes and light hours, RH, room temp, etc

Wattage is essentially the same, but how those watts/PPFD are delivered to the plants is quite different: 8 @ 30w/ 4ft tubes in a 2 x 4 fixture vs a compact 16 x 16 fixture. Any 16" section from the TLs simply cannot match the intensity of the AT 16, which is dropping 250w hard in a 2 x 2 area

One benefit: I was easily able to veg 3 plants under the TL, BUT, were they the best vegged plants? And, while I'm quite happy with the TL results thus far, how do they compare?

Price-wise

Transcend Lighting's 8 tubes X $70= $560 + fixture

Amare Technologies CoB Hybrid $745

The plant with the cube around it is from the hot5

For whatever reason the female that was under the TL had gone 70% red pistils within days. I put her on flush nutes today

Her sister under the SE 250 has yet to show red pistils

Making matters worse, Amare now has a version of the SE 250 that is 3ft long, and said to cover 2 x 4 @ $745

I'm thinking the red tubes aren't up to snuff for blooming cannabis.

The middle plant from the TL tubes (that I moved to the SE 220) will be harvested at day's end. I will then move the next largest plant under the TL tubes to the SE 220, AND, pull 2 of the red tubes over the last plant leaving 4 white + 2 red to see how that goes

I harvested a few lowest branches ~ 5 days ago, then half late yesterday and the rest this morning

So, I moved the next biggest plant from the T5 to the SE 220

and pulled 2 of the red tubes from the t5, to see whether 50/50 was too much of these reds

I took pictures, but camera battery too low to download. Charging now. Will post pics later

Pics of the harvested plant or it didn't happen, right

The plant I moved to the SE 220 has plenty of time left. Hopefully, the buds will fatten and harden

Harvested the plant that I moved from the TL T5s to the Amare SE 220. The buds tightened up a good bit in ~ 10 days. Scroll up, it's the one in the cube

Here's just the Donkey Cola, which is 19" of bud

Just to keep the info here, I have a feeling the problem was using reds 1:1, where they should be max of 2:1, better even 3:1.
