yea your right keyplay, these nugs pictured havent even been cured.. just dried and trimmed, smells coming on more and more everyday.. Oh this stuff will be long gone before the cup. i only did a few plants and some were off to the side and just yielded pitiful... I will have some dank Chemdog D and some LAPK to smoke on! dont worry, we will be smoking strong @ the cup:boogie:

Just a note to make.... the smell will definitely improve and become more refined and "in your face" after at least 30 days in a jar. You will smell new smells hahahahahaha

The latest pic does look like OG. The first ones do not.

Some peoples descriptions of smells is quite different. For instance I don't get a "cheese" smell from cheese, more of a sweet chemical smell. You described the 5k at first as non lemony and fruity. Which I don't get from the units I see move for top dollar. But your later descriptions of it being "skunky" and all sound like what I smell.

Posts some pics of it dried and cured if possible.

I do know my OG's in particular really really well.

5k is a name i gave this 'og' clone based on the backstory i received. Truth be told this clone is NOT the real deal 5k clone that was sourced by ThaDocta Years before i even had this clone. I told him that i'd rename it if i ever passed it out, but since i kept it in my small circle of friends (2 people), i never got around to changing the name.

Since it's 'out there' now i assume it's gonna go around a lot more and eventually get lumped in with Docta's original findings.. which in turn is gonna cause a lot of confusion and problems down the road. Whoever has the clone needs to understand that it's not the original 5k and shouldn't be passed off without an explanation of the facts and a possible name change. Thanks and sorry the past, present, and future confusion :D

OG or not OG thats is the question...The prefix OG and KUSH are excessively used in the CA MJ scene and that is creating so much confusion. If u take this 5K OG, the Ghost OG and the SFV OG from description u will see that they have nothing in comun appart the fact that they are great herb but yet they share the "OG" prefix.

I read that the first OG is born out of accidental cross and that all other OG's that came after that original one was s1's. But today i doubt that all those OG's around are s1 of previously OG Kush s1's? Frankly im losing my self....

Also all those elite crosses that still wear the original clone name are caussing a lot confusion.

If i have a Ferari and i change the engine for a Ford engine (why would i do that? lol) can i still call my car a Ferari?

There is a lot of good pot on the Cali west coast being called OG and what not. Growmaster, you have an awesome pheno and its certainly kill .I would say you are happy knowing your cut is cool and it rewards you every time you grow it because you know how to grow it. I certainly can't say most people even know how to grow a plant like this- Chunky has done an excellent job as well.

But what about the self proclaimed experts and "seekers of truth"? I will ask, "where are the pics of your grow and your OG 5K cut"? Lets see the one "thedocta"/????? gave you as well as the one I gave you from my patients. Share your infinite wisdom, knowledge, and genetic documentation with us. I gave it to someone when I was breaking a room down and they nursed them back to health for over a year before I got it back. Call it what you want-Its good fucking pot, but you have to smoke some to really know that......hahahahahahahahah

Lil backstory on this '5k'. I got it from keyplay as a beat up clone in mid/late 2008. He gave one to me and one to DaddyHaze (ahem) and i guess Keyplay lost his (?). They were supposedly doing some tissue culture stuff with it, i guess it didn't work out. The clone that i kept was really sick and i nursed it back to health after watching it not grow one inch for months. Once i got her up there and ran her, i gave some to the Certified homie in the A. He said it's real good and the fcut was 'cool'. Right after that i rehooked keyplay and told him this i a really good one according to my guy and his people so run it. The rest is history.

Don't even know why i'm getting bashed online by a guy i know personally.. shit is bizzaro world :rofl

One more thing before this thread gets shut down. Please look at my posts and recognize that there was no malice or any disrespect in my posts towards anybody until i was attacked.

There's no confusion here. My posts clearly explained everything. I named this og '5k' based on the backstory i got, but there was already a 5k og out there. So after i was questioned about my '5k', i told the guy (ThaDocta) who named the other/original 5k og that i'd change the name to avoid any confusion with his clone. I never got around to changing the name tho because i didn't end up passing this clone out like that. Now that it's out, i was trying to set the record straight and explain that altho this clone is being called '5k og', it's NOT the same as the original one from ThaDocta/Elkslayer. Some of us go a lot further back than THCfarmer (or even icmag) and when i say '5k og' it will perk up the ears of those 'in the know'. So with respect to them and their hard work i wanted to set the record straight

For the record what you see there is the mother of the clones i gave back to keyplay as '5k'. I didn't get anything from ThaDocta and never stated that i did.

Why did you name a clone I gave you 3 or so years ago with the 5k name when it was already in use? Is that how you respect those people who did the hard work back in the day? hahahahaha.
