6XL UnderCurrent 2k grow in 5x10 tent w/co2

Alright guys sorry for the delay I really had to pin down some genetics to put in this system, get another 1000 w light and get some more goodies set up to have everything perfect. I got some small issues to deal with like raising my humidity and likely getting an AC unit for when I flower to bring out some colors.

Strain is Purple Mist gifted to me. I wish there was a way to change my thread title since everything is different now. I am waiting on my CAP PPM-4 CO2 Monitor and Controller to plug into my 20lb tank setup to run my Co2. These are pictures at day 2. I am crown feeding from the epicenter and just running maybe 1/4 strength House and Garden A-B and a little roots excel. I still gotta dial in my nute schedule and get my Tri-Meter calibrated today to get that set in the epicenter and we will be rockin FINALLY!!!!

Bulbs are dual-arcs and I cannot wait to see how this goes this is the most money I have ever put into a "hobby" other then my quads for the dunes..But this will hopefully pay me back many times over. Please give me inputs and things I can change up that are reasonable. Plants are happy so far so good.

Thanks man, so here is where I am sitting currently on day 2 of Veg. Let me know what I need to adjust. Water here from the tap has like 25-70 ppm so the 250ppm comprises of Algen extract, Roots Excel, and Aqua flake a&b. Let it sit here for a few days and see what happens. Everything seems to look okay to me what do you think?

looking nice. It's hard to tell from the pics but maybe you could use a little more hydroton in the net pots (to stop light getting in)? I could be wrong, just looks like it from that last pic

once the lights been fired for a bit its around 80 degrees and ya I probably need a humidifier...for now anyways.

And since you are in a 5x10 why didn’t you go with the UC8XL !? Check the link for CC ideal set ups. Under Current set ups. Maybe you can just get 2 buckets and 2 more extensions to get the UC8XL for your next grow.

Aside from all that this is the humidifier I grabbed from grainger. It is a bit costly but works. They also make a 9GPD I think that might be a bit much for your set up.
Check out my set up. I am running a 5x5 hydro hut 4XL system with Co2 and a bunch of other goodies. You might get some ideas. But I am pulling up a chair for this one.

Looking good Jimmy. Make sure no light is hitting the water, causes all kinds of nasties. I'm going to wrap my buckets like you did and make some disc cut-outs to cover the net pots and media to keep things clean.

You're already rockin' with roots like that. Soon it's blastoff!

Update

Alright so I just finished week 2 of Veg. I finally got my co2 setup a few days ago so that is starting to rock. One of my plants was just not shooting down roots like the other so I yanked it and put in an Oaksterdam GDP. On start of week 2 I bumped my ppms up like 580 like a dumb fuck and fried them so I did like a 60% flush and dropped them back down to 280. I only did this because there was some yellowing and figured they were hungry. Oh well.

This is my first UC run so I will have to learn. My room temps are in check, I saw a bit of powder mold because my light cooling fan was pulling from the rainy outside...BIG NO NO. So I got some greencure and no problems now and moved my fan away from the window. Humidity sits between 32-46% no higher. Co2 at 1500. Water temps are always down at like 66. I have that bitch set at 64 and I STILL see the temp at 70 sometimes and running, never over. I seen a few dark patches in my roots but it does not smell, plants are okay and temps are more than okay.. not sure what it is.

I crown fed yesterday with Great White. Just have to wait and see how this next week goes. I hate my tri-meter I think I will junk it and get a nice Hanna one. Any current suggestions? I was gonna run some zone but there is a debate on it being counterproductive with my Roots Excel.

Powdery mildew? Sorry to hear that as it's a real battle. It'll play hide and seek like wack-a-mole, only letting you think it's gone. The one product that I've heard of working for the long haul is Eagle20, a nasty spray you'd only apply in veg.

The darkening of the roots to a tan color in spots is normal as they naturally die off and continue to grow. That's where the enzyme or zone comes into play, eliminating this roots waste and keeping things clean.

Hopefully everything clears and it's smooth sailing on out. :yes

Awesome thank you for the info, I will be doing a full flush in a few days and run zone for a few days before adding more Roots Excel. Does anyone know whats with the random yellowing on my water leaves? Think it is from the fungicide spray or what?

Hmmm... I'm no expert, but 1500 PPM of CO2 seems a bit high and unnecessary at this stage of veg in comparison to the PPM's of your nutrient mix... :thinking On the other hand, if you can get your humidity up a bit, that would def help the VPD levels and proper transpiration...
