I defoliated the small clones somewhat, I wonder if they were struggling after transplant to support the large leaves, I did root prune them a little to slow the growth. I took 7 clones off each butchered one , the 2 big ones I didn’t cut muchtook 2 off one of them, the 2 I chopped hard are doing good.

So I’ve been re-organizing and one thing I decided to do for summer was change my lighting schedule I flipped my lights so that way they were on at night instead of during the day, I always had them going during the day just because it was convenient

well im already tired of the timeswitch, the lights are on at night, makes my garage glow when I open the tent, during day couldn’t even see it. Also makes watching them and monitoring water timing and nutrient needs of I not see them for a glimpse in the hazy morning of my stumbles.

So I was right at the last part, the clones all got root pruned when I transplanted. I took the clones right before I did all that, cut the layer and the sundae hard 7-8 cuttings off each. The peach I took 2 clones, the lemon I left alone, no branches yet only main stalk. Well the last 2 were dropping hard, thought it was shock, wind, etc, no it was out of balance with the root structures. Soon as I cut off all the big leaves 🍁 on both they perked right up and took off again. I pinched the top off the lemon, and the longest branch of peaches, I’ll send pics in a sec of the clone/veg tent

Need to chop the one in front, the peach ringz. But I want to wait till there’s a spot in the ez clone. Should have roots by end of today, so 3-4 more days should have some secondary roots. So far I only used a little root gel to dip clones, water and ph down. It’s time to add some superthrive. Usually I don’t worry about the root hormone. But it will go bad eventually. I usually have 100% success in ez clone regardless.

Think the root hormone actually slowed down root growth. They are trying to push roots out the whole area I dipped, Instead of just where the branches were cut off and the end of the stem. It’s going to produce more roots, but take longer.

Usually have roots by now, maybe I’m just a little excited, also it was the frosted lemons and peach rings that rooted the fastest last time.

Layer cake looks a little weird, I think it’s from when I switched the light cycle, was curious if it would mess with any of them. The sundae and lemon never seemed to notice, but the layer popped out a couple tiny leaves. Seems to have recovered and is growing more flower

Layer cake, showed some stress when I switched the light cycle, flowers still getting bigger, but it fingered and put out a few leaves 🍁 on top of some of the buds, but not all.

Layer cake, sundae driver, and peach rings. Making babies for my disabled friends, and a couple for me. Going to be trading frosted lemons for peach rings. Lemons is very sativa, uplifting, a little much. Maybe if I let it go farther...
The clones in the ez cloner are gonna get tossed and I’m going to start over. I don’t care what anybody says root hormone n ezclone is not necessary and I think it actually made things take longer. I’m just gonna throw mine away I was just trying to use it up before it went bad maybe it went bad or maybe it’s just not necessary. It messes with pH and I think it also tries to make it pop out roots from too many locations at once and slows it down. Idk

One last rant for the day. All the people trying to control the temps so much, natural environment here gets into the 50s, even 40s at night. Seen day temps in excess of 100. The plants flourish and get up to 15’ tall from what I’ve seen. I switched my light cycle and I put a small heater in each tent to help keep the temperatures from dropping below 65°, and also for the summertime because it will get warmer right now my lights on temperatures in the tent are about 85 in flour and 75 in veg. I think they get to be about 95 and 85 if I ran the lights during the day for summer but that’s not unreasonable I just have the water more

The colder temps bring out all the beautiful fall colors
