Yesterday was a hot day, 110 deg. F! the heat was too much for the lower leaves but the upper leaves did just ok.
I WOULD NOT DO IT. LOL!

Making hash with 91% Isopropyl and Butane

I made my first hash oil last night using trimmed leaves only, No Buds. For making hash oil I used 91% Isopropyl from Rite Aid. It came out pretty good, very potent and smooth smoke. I liked it!
For honey oil, since I couldn't find N-Butane, I used regular butane, Fox Run glass turkey blaster that I purchased it for $5.99 from Ace Hardware store and 1 coffee filter (should of used 2). I haven't tried it yet, so no comment about the smoke.
Very simple process however must be very careful at all time when using the butane or Isopropyl. :rastadancing:

Congrats on getting through it! I have to say this was a very entertaining thread. In that it was a fresh look at a grow though a new gardeners eyes.

IF, you wanted more yield out of your set up you might veg longer and get them into bigger pots before you flower. You have 600w of light and some high end equipment that should really help. Some small tweaks and you could be pulling close to an elbow.

LOL...lill too late. After 1 hit, I kinda figured it out. It smelled and tasted pretty bad.

I was wondering would it be better to use butane first and then re-extract or refined with Isopropyl? any thought? this is getting really interesting!

I need more advise please.
I completed the drying stage; however since curing is the most important part of this process for me, I do'nt want to screw up, lol.
First question, did I miss anything, if I did the followings?
Total darkness for the last 7 days.
Room temperature 74 deg. F. and 48% humidity.
Vent and a fan running on max. Speed for the first 4 days to avoid mold and shit.
Day 5 to 7 - lowered vent flow and fan to slow down drying process.
Day 7 - The stem with the buds snapped nicely.
I placed all the buds in 1 oz air tight jars back in the same darkroom. Any advise for optimum curing tips?
