9 Pound Hammer Tga Genetics

This is my first mj grow. After reading and reading and reading I decided to try the tga line. I've read mixed opinions on tga and the 9 pound hammer. Here goes nothing. Wish me luck...I'll need it.

Since your new to the game goodluck! That being said subfool has costed many growers time and money including myself. Interesting to see how 9 pound hermie turns out! In growing, the only REAL way to learn is by failing. Sounds bad but it's true. Goodluck man!

5 days later and I have 100% germination. One of them is behind the rest.
Right now they are in fox farm ocean forest using distilled water at 6.5. I have them under t5 lights. Temps are 85 lights on and 77 lights off. Humidity is 35%. I will consider today as day 1.

He has also made a lot of growers a lot of money:p
Definitely requires a pheno hunt but I've grown some TGA gear that will hold it's own against most elite cuts
I've got a pheno of AO that's around 8 yrs old

I've only grown his Flav and Jilly Bean, nothing but good things to say. 9 lb hammer is one I always wanted to run, so I'll be over in the corner smoking hash oil lurking and getting off on the bud porn....

I have to keep my plants very short. There will be lots of training. How early can I top them and be safe? Thanks.

I always top after the 3rd node. This has always worked out well for me no matter what the strain.

The two shoots that grow out, top those after the 3r node and you'll have a very bushy plant!

between the 3rd and 4th node... I don't top them per se, but crush the stem, i.e. hold the stem between your thumb and forefinger and gently roll it between them till you hear/feel it pop

Looks like fun. Let the haters hate. All good breeders have haters. I've had some very potent and tasty TGA strains in my garden. Admittedly, do your best to keep them stress free.
Best of luck.

Thanks everybody that's supportive. This being my first grow I did not know there were haters of fellow cannabis growers. Shouldn't we all support each other?
I topped all of them today at the 3rd node including the single serated leaf. I need to keep these very short. Very short indeed.

much to learn, you have, young padawan
lots of haters when it comes to certain breeders/seed makers/pollen chuckers
I've found nice phenos out of bag seed, I've found nice phenos out of $200. packs.
Sometimes a plant will hermie from genetics, sometimes it's 'user error' ;)

@rubthenub : not hatin' man I too have an old jack the ripper that I still run, it's super fire sativa lemony goodness that yields like a champ! I'm rooting for the op and interested in the results as I won a pack of the 9 lb hammer in a local raffle. I have grown MANY tga genetics, while finding some winners, I found a high rate of failures. This is indicative of unfinished breeding goals and premature untested releases. It is my opinion that there are much more accomplished breeders with better ethics in the game (loompa, raskal, JJ, mota, bodhi, baba G, are some of my favorites) and I feel better about supporting their hard work and selections. Again op, good luck on a gem and they look stout and healthy so far.

@SHIRDABZALOT I will agree with the "breeding goals" thing. It doesn't mean there ain't fire to be found in there with a proper pheno hunt;). Same with CC, there is fire to be found but problems also. I think a lot of breeders/chuckers who's gear is readily available and kind of 'main stream' for lack of a better term, ie: TGA , CC, most of the Dutch houses, tons of their gear gets bought by new growers, new growers make mistakes(old ones too, sometimes:mad:) I feel many problems get blamed on seed/genetics. I think the best genetics are coming out of USA currently, but how many 'new' growers could name the breeders you mentioned? I hope the OP finds a killer pheno too!

@titanium those look pretty nice, good luck!
