Traffic one of my favorites along with Dave mason tops..
You may know I was good friends with Joe cocker, he survived all the wild times. We both sobered up from the booze 15 years. He was so tired of the treatments was time to let go he left us on the longest darkest night and his suffering had ended at his home surrounded by wife and his longtime friend and caretaker....
He told me no worries Mate. I have lived such a wonderful life and I accept that I will not beat this.
He then hugged me hard and long and told me like he always did upon parting..

Man, the memories you must have....

Am writing a bio.
This lady who is a new York times food critic and has published a few books is helping with my project..
Was wild and crazy but for some reason I survived.
Grinding head on collisions, almost killed another fella, drinking tales from around the world.
Will tell of the dark felling of self hatred, doubt. fear, that was hidden inside for may years.
I figured out I had to be the ;life of the party to mask the inside turmoil.
was a happy drunk only got beat up a couple of times.
Came to the point once and for all this is it, do or die.
Was told you got 6 months, was puking blood for 2 days.
Told myself If I survive this I will do what ever it takes..
Went to 2 AA meetings daily for 30 days, hated it, but I faked it till I made it..
Then one day I gazed upon the most beautiful place I have ever seen and got the incredible rush that this is where I belong and the healing began. Still get the feeling daily, look around OH MY GOD!!!
We purchased 2 acres with house, got married, been here for 15 years was my dream since childhood to do something like this it is beyond anything I could have ever imagined..
Enough...Coffee rant complete...For now...
