Last PM I got he was in a accident and was healing up. At that time he said he would be on in a couple weeks.?
I don't know,
I'd like to see him get back on and show us what he's been upto.

I have had hiccups, and I have made mistakes, but I am learning!

I am running them at 18-6 right now. When I switch out my MH FOR MY HPS, when should I switch and what kind of effect will the hps have on my photo in veg?

On my GH 3 Part nutes I have been feeding at mild veg at 1 to 1 to 1 ratio, at half strngth. It calls for 5 ml of each, but I have only been giving them 2 1/2 ml of each and 2 ml of cal-mag. My question is this. Should I move to aggressive veg at 3 to 2 to 1 ratio at half strength? So that you understand my thinking here, let me explain. I read somewhere that the secret to autos is to make them veg as long as you can. So that is what my goal is here. At 1 to 1 to 1 ratio its getting bloom nutes at same strength as grow. With the 3 to 2 to 1 it would be getting significantly lees bloom nutes. Am I thinking right or have I read so much that I have confused myself? I respect both of your opinions even if they are different.

Just watch the plant. If it's not perky and starts showing defficiencies then bump em up.

You can't keep a auto in veg..
What I do is feed veg thru to the 2nd week of flower then I start to mix it up.
I feed 3/4 veg 1/4 bloom for week 2/3
Then 1/2 veg 1/2 bloom for week 3/4
1/4 veg 3/4 bloom for week 4/5
Full bloom for week 5/7
Then flush for 7/8
This way she keeps growing while blooming ,the last 2 weeks are full bloom to tighten them up.
This Seraphim19 technique that he showed me. I like it,all of mine have been atleast 3' to 3.5' tall which is perfect for me.

Well I am kinda off that schedule. Hell I am around 25 days and just now started feeding aggressive veg nutes at about 400 ppm. They are only about 6 inches tall. They don't look like they are gonna even get a foot tall! As you can see I have gently moved leaves out of the way to at least get some branching... I hope I am taking the right approach and not stressing the plant out too much. Other than it is short as hell, it looks awesome... These 3 plants I was hoping for at least 120g but I am having my doubts being only 6 inches tall and only 5 more weeks to go, and this is the best one by far... I know I will be using that t5 next time all the way up to week 4.. Using that mh for 4 plants was serious overkill imo....Hell they might have even stretched out a bit with the t5 and been taller!

Put the HPS over them, they will stretch a little bit..
And you might be surprised once they take off. And your not bothering them at all with that training.
I would try to bump up the veg feeding just a bit.

Well Sat will be 4 weeks. I think I will Switch it out Sat night then. Bump up the nutes huh, funny you say that, I bumped it up from actual 378 ppm to 422... I do see just a small tiny tip burn, on some of the new small growth. But I am wondering if it ain't kinda common to see a lil nute burn here and there.

And thanks for easing my mind about the training. I see where it has been helpful but I didn't know if I was stunting its growth vertically. I mean I know we want shorter bushy plants but I need it to be more than a foot tall.... So I hope you are right about them taking off.

If you already bumped it up then don't worry about it,
And Midwest has been with you on nutes so you should be good.
But the light switch will help in growth.

They usually spend the first 2-3 weeks building root structure, then blast off!
The only major stressor is topping them.. If they are regular Autos and not super autos.

It just seems crazy to me to think they only have 40 days left and it is supposed to produce harvestable buds by then,,,, esp when I barely even see hairs much less anywhere for them to grow lol...

Ya midwest done got me on the right track. I am much more confident in myself with feeding and how to treat coco.... If I knew then just the little I have learned we would be looking at different plants now I believe.

It is just a regular auto. It has had a growth spurt the last few days... So I am hopeful. Maybe I should of went with something like fast and vast auto for size and yield...

It will probably go longer than stated.
So I would take it until you feel it's done, not the time they say. Just use their flower day as a judge ,I would start checking trichs a week before they say and go from there.

You can wet a paper towel and try to pull it off that way ,to keep pollen from floating around.

Yea I'd wait for flower to start before I switch to bloom nutes. I push it back a lil further each time. @Wisher619 Talked me into waiting a lil longer the last time with great results. Like legit buds forming before I switched to flower nutes.

Exactly. Those grow times are strictly a guess. I've finished weeks early and months late. Even same strain finishes at different times in same exact nutes/environment. So don't pay much attention to the Times they say. Average auto for me is 10 wks. But my guy just finished one in 16wks. Another fkn 300-400 gram monster, he didn't give me a final dry weight.

Well I really hope it goes longer. I need more size. I want to thank all of you for the help you have giving me. I know the single biggest thing that I have been taught,,, Water the coco every day, and even twice. They have looked nice ever since. Sometimes there is just too damn much info for a newbie. I would say, just put some seeds in the ground, and learn as they grow. I am glad nobody knows about my grow, but It would sure be cool if I had a friend local that was a grower too. Esp When I hear some of you say, Aww, I am just gonna give these clones to my buddy, and get a couple cuttings back later. That is awesome! Well my old man get some work done pills ( norcos ) script done came in, and I took a week off. Time to build me a new ebb and drain table I think!

I'm talking two weeks into flower, when you have visible buds.
That's when I start the bloom nutes at 1/4 strength.
