Accurate Information About Autoflowering Plants

I've talked to a guy from another thread and he said he's been able to get over 1lb from one auto plant before. You think there's any truth to this

I seriously doubt that.i struggle to get that out a full cupboard of high yeilding normal strains.most autos dont veg long enough before flowering to get that big.although there are some big autos out there but a pound?in my personal opinion he,s talkin utter shite but thats just my opinion and what do i know?

Well, then I'm gonna have to do some lurking around myself.. I guess there are some guys out there that run massive light setups and pretty sure a good hydro setup yields much higher then dirt does.. would be very cool if peeps are getting close to a pound with an Auto.. but I imagine everything would have to be perfect start to finish.. my guess is this: When they created the strain the breeders were selecting pheno's that showed sex as late as possible giving them time to really put on some vegetative weight.. The more I learn about what is called "The next generation" of auto's the more I'm liking them.. neh, loving them.. and I thought I had a very high yielding Auto this grow with the LR2 x Blue Himilaya with how huge they were getting, but they never showed sex until I flipped lights to 12/12 10 days ago showing the creator needed to do some more back crossing.. wish he would of tested more before sharing because it's really screwed up my rotation now.. but, we continue to learn huh? and we all make mistakes..

Yeah she is a 00 Bubblegum Fem auto. Chosen at random based on potential potency. Bought from Bonza seedbank. Would love to try breeding some seeds but thats a bit down the road for me.. Need more experience! And more room!! Got some Barneys Farm LSD and Liberty Haze that I am desparate to grow, chosen for same reason - 20-25% THC!!! Wouldn't mind crossing the LSD with say a Berry Bomb or Grandaddy Purp..try and get the potency with the colour..
My LST style is completely self taught... i just bend 'em! Funny reading forums I learn after the fact that I should do it gradually; this auto I just laid it over 90 degrees in one go..it loved it!
So no special insight I'm sorry! Wish I was an expert!!

Too bad she's an auto.. my very 1st grow I was gifted this AK47 x Sour60 (which is a bubblegum by BOG).. He didn't make the auto, but check out his non auto Sour Bubble, a very potent bubblegum well I knew I had something special and didn't want to lose it. What I found with Auto's is since they show'd sex around day #17 on this cross was if I let the male grow just long enough for females to throw a few hairs and males to open just a few pollen sac's, I wound up with 100 seeds off 3 plants so I didn't lose much bud to seed production.. yield was still good and I saved the genetics to work with later even though I had to use the only male who showed his face and ideal breeding you'd have a better selection. but like I said, for me it was about not losing this nice mix..

Hey guys, I am at the end of my first Autoflower Pineapple express Barney's farm grow. Its day 57.
I had cut one small bud since there was little rot in it i guess i overwatered the plant.. and the thing is i found one seed in the bud, there is no males around ? would that mean that the plant is ready to harvest ? I think there are not enough brown resins I will upload some pictures today so you can get an overview! Thank you in advance!

Check your temps and humidity is in check bud rot is not good and shouldn't be smoked. Sounds like if there is no male you've got a hermie on your case. That way I would carry on for seed for next grow.

If that's the only plant you have and its producing seeds it's a hermie and I believe that you will have feminized auto flower seeds from her. Like you said you have only found one sees you could be lucky and only have pollinated a specific area of the plant. I would check your trichomes to see when to harvest or when you leaves coming from bud start to turn yellow. Watch out for that bud rot

Bud rot doesn't usually come from over watering as it does from high humidity and the strain not dealing with it very good.. some do some don't. My buddy up in Washington State has to run Auto's outdoors so they are all done and chopped before the serious rainy season rolls in.. Usually a few good rainy days can cause bud rot, so will some bugs give the plant that appearance.. I'd say you have another 2wks give or take if you want some seriously potent stuff.. depends on the high you want. You want it a bit racy uplifting buzz, pluck her soon.. if you want that couchlock knock your arse out for a nap weed.. let her go to like day 70 if you can... but, sometimes bud rot and other issues dictate when we cut em down versus losing all the bud to, well , whatever right? Keep her on the dry side a few days in a row, then give her a good water... NO FOILAGE spraying... NO NO at this stage.. Looks like someone is flushing her or stopped her Nitrogen intake a while ago.. I'd say no more foods either unless you wanted to flush her using molasses in the water..
And if you only got one freakin seed... hey, plant that sucker, she sure didn't turn full on hermie.. could of been one single calyx did that and who knows why.. but plant that sucker and keep on eye on it after she sexes and as long as it's a girl and she never shows balls... nice. good luck, hope you get some nice smoke..

a poster by the name of grey bear on another site not as good as this one, claims the world record yield from an autoflower, twice, both with "shortstuff" seeds, the first being a strain called tha shiznit, at 500+ grams, and then breaking that record with his purple amnesia grow, 600+ grams, dried

dont know if he put a rock on the scale or what, but the nute line he was giving them was a diluted version of regular nutes, maybe thats what autos like, LESS feed for MORE yield

both strains are on the singleseedcentre, but I want to see someone else pull those numbers off before I buy, he could always be a shortstuff shill!

I like your cautionary approach to this for sure.. I just picked up a few Short Stuff Seeds in a swap with a buddy Assassin F2 is the one that really grabs my attention, the other I got was Onyx.. Get this, I just went to their site and got this newly added to the description of the strain. Yield : 30-60g | 1-2 oz per plant (biggest recorded yield 520g from 1 plant) .

Sure seems like an insider is trying to boost sales maybe eh? I mean how does a strain go from an average of 1-2 ounces max per plant to 520 grams.. so 18+ ounces off an Auto... Gee, someone twitched a bit when using their calculator, I do that when I'm falling asleep on the PC late at night..... I have a new strain that I'll have to see what kind of yield it gets.. check out the genetics crossed in this strain.. TWOG , a cross of: Auto Afghan x Trainwreck x Ghost Ogre.. now go to en.seedfinder and look these up separate and you'll see why I'm pretty stoked about having these. Auto Afghan and Ogre are the 2 wicked autos' in it & considered super yielders alone.. Add to that Trainwreck & Ghost and well.. watch out for this one.. Also have it in what he's calling Blue TGOG.. I think I'm in for one heck of ride as I grow and figure out just what I've been gifted.. woot woot.

Thanks so very much, sure am having fun checking out this new Generation of Auto's.. I've got about 40 different ones now I've been swapping for with private breeders who are up to some nice stuff IMHO..
UP next: I'll be making my own addition and will attempt to make a HUGE Bubblegum mixed auto..
AK47 x Sour60 I nicknamed BubbleguN and actually have a thread here on it, go check it out.. I'll be crossing that with a strain from a Canadian buddy he made.. Sour60 x SuperFreak (SF is his making) and to add more size a little Assassin F2... be dropping them into water here soon, look for a thread to be started.. 2 of the strains have the Sour60, BOG's Sour Bubble turned into an Auto and Master Kush added in too.. I'm shooting for 1500 grams per plant.... HAHAHAHA

Also, no, they won't die after a certain time period, they will only die if you kill them or once they've finished flowering. Auto's are next to impossible to clone so you can't keep them alive that way but no, they won't die after like the 13th week or anything like that. I have one auto going atm that's about 150 days old and it's nowhere near finished flowering. The breeders label said it would finish in 65 days so take what they say with a pinch of salt, it really means nothing, they'll be done when they're done lol.

Just stumbled onto this topic, and already have a first question as I am reading through.

If we can let our autos grow for so much longer than 12 or 13 weeks, does that mean no need to pay attention to trics, or do you pluck your buds as each individual bud reaches the desired tric color ?

Sounds like CaptHowdy may have gotten a hold of a Sativa Haze for it to be flowering so long.. I know a few people trying to work Sativa's into the Auto world.. It would be cool to see a photo of what he's got going on..
Me, I still go by trichome color because this is where the thc is.. Milky is your 1st real chance to harvest when thc is at it's highest up high.. as the heads turn amber this is actually the thc degrading but at the same time giving us all the high we are used to growing up with.. lethargic, full body relaxing.. Now I'm kinda new myself to auto's and only on my 4th grow with them...so I"m still getting to know them myself.. Much of it can depend on what all is in your hybrid.. we all know Indica's finish sooner and a good Sativa can go 14wks and longer.. some of these new Auto's are getting freaking huge to..

Guys i need help im in deep shit i have 1 fast and vast auto in a 5gal pot at day 24 and ive noticed the bottom leaves are yellowing and even browning theyve looked great until now there outdoors maybe thought i was over watering and had them in the direct light too much i have used no nutes to this point pleaserr help!!!
