Well personally I never encountered this strain but I have been researching it for quite a while now and this is what I can conclude I've been reading about a black strain of weed found in the Ituri Forest in the Democratic Republic of Congo and that the Pygmies of the forest smoke it and it is said to be very psychedelic, probably due to equatorial conditions this strain has adapted to high uv rays and probably started producing high levels of THC and THCV and that could explain it's high psychedelic activity . Just like many other African strains like Malawi gold, Durban poison, and Mulanje gold. If any of you know about this strain or other black colored or dark colored African strains please share some of you knowledge and let's try to keep this thread alive and solve the mystery of this legendary African Sativa strain! oh and I found some pics of it on Thcfarmer
IF it is a hermie, then yes, it has the hermie genetics in the pollen! Hermies show up as small male parts on an otherwise female looking plant with pistil hairs. If it's ALL balls, then it's just a male!Thnx,… that’s how I store my pollen in several small ziplock bags in a sealed glass jar with rice (freezer). That’s what I just used on my GSC autos, seed pods are looking good…The pollen was 1 yr old.
So should I save some of this Bam pollen or just kill it (Basically will the pollen produce Hermes) ???
I may just try Silver Thiosulfate treatment, as any seeds won’t go into the open market…to pollute the strain!

move Plt inside when about to burst pollen, Make a parchment paper blanket to collect the pollen
(I also read that when it’s about to release pollen you can cut the branch off put it in water and put it over parchment to collect the pollen does that sound right?)

IF it's not a hermie and JUST a male, then I would definitely bring it inside to collect the pollen. Make sure that you clean your room from ANY pollen on walls, equipment, etc... Otherwise you could have unexpected seeds in your next crop! Water neutralizes pollen!
STS works good, but a product called ElitexElite is a ONE time application for feminized seeds! It's quite spendy, but probably well worth it. $60 for 2ml.... enough for 3-4 plants. I'm going to try that method!
You can try putting a branch in a cup of water. I've heard of it, never tried it, so I don't know if it works. Let me know if you try it.

Will turn color regardless of temperature.So if swazi red (african rooibaard) and congo black is the genetics of BAM I might do a breeding project soon I've seen the landrace team has congo black and I've seen swazi red a couple places when you do a search. What gets me is how the hell is the original photo of this strain is blue black color don't strains only turn these colors in extreme cold conditions?
Didn't someone else say snow high seeds had black magic as well is there anyway to try and get those beans. I'm hoping Arizona seed connect has the legit BAM cause I'm gonna order some real soon. Plants look beautiful regardless. It Looks very much like a landrace sativa tho for sure. Meanwhile I'm hoping my malawi gold plant from the real seed co made it thru a category 4 hurricane it was deep in the woods protected by trees so I'm "hoping" the trees broke that wind a little and it made it guys. It was as tall as my chin before I left state and pretty bushed out im going back there soon. Is there a possibility it may have survived lol???
