what do you see as nutrient burn?.
it might be something else..
Burnt/Brown leaf tips and curling upwards. I removed the affected leaves already so I could see if any other ones would be affected moving forward.

you should feed nutrients every watering, even if that mean slighlty lower dose than what's recommended ... i m not surprised you plants are yellowing if you're feeding them one watering out of three or two ...

i don't think that's a ph and or nutrients lockout in that case you would have others symptoms and various kind of burns others than just yellowing ...
Yeah I wasn't sure if it was a lockout hence why I didn't feed them because I didn't want to potentially make it worse. Sounds like I just might need to feed them lower amounts more frequently.

Thoughts on this purple colouring on leaf tips. Also have purple stems on alot of fading leaves.

ok, so basically your not feeding enough.. do as @HerbalEdu said to do..
you have a nitrogen deficiency and phosphorus deficiency and probably/possibly coming up a calmag deficiency..
Yes, I fed them this morning and will continue to do so every watering. Was just curious about the purple colouring because I never mentioned them in the original post. All part of the same under feeding problem than. When feeding/watering should I water until I see run off?

well just makesure the whole medium gets wet.. don’t worry about having run off or not..

some strains or some phenotype within a strain can have their leaves turning purple near the end with senescence, no need to worry too much about that i think.

Hi There, new to the forums and hoping for some advice on my plants. I'm currently growing outdoors in Southern Ontario and in week 4 of flower. Shortly after flowering started I noticed a significant Fade in green colour of the plants overall and during weeks 3 and 4 alot of Yellowing and dying leaves. I had been feeding with GroTek Grow Formula during Veg and switched to Bloom Formula for flowering. I did get a little nutrient burn when I switched to the Bloom Formula only affecting about 5 leaves per plant but dialed in back and nothing since. I expected possible Nitrogen Deficiency but my Bloom formula is 3-8-8 so there should be Nitrogen present. I'm concerned at the amount of leaves I've lost over 2 weeks with still 4-5 weeks left to go. This is my 2nd time growing and last year my plant did not show these symptoms and was basically problem free from start to finish.

Any suggestions or advice on what I'm dealing with? Apple Fritter & Black Cherry Punch have yellowed significantly more than Baby Yoda & Banana Punch.

Big plants in small pots. They are hungry!

It isn't necessarily bad. The purple coloration results when the plant creates the anthocyanin pigment. There are multiple reasons why plants do it. To name a few, it can be genetic, a protection against excess light or a reaction to stress.

Sorry, that was a misfire. I got clumsy, fat, thumbs. Lol.

.
Honestly this is mostly late-flower nitrogen fade, not a clear magnesium problem. The close-up leaves are turning an even pale yellow across the whole leaflet, not yellow between green veins with rusty speckles the way magnesium usually looks. The tops and buds are still green and stacking, which is exactly what you want this lat, the plant is pulling nitrogen out of the older fans and sending it into the flowers.
It has climbed a little higher than just the very bottom leaves, so the plant is a bit hungry or the pot is starting to limit it, but that is still the normal September fade pattern, not something I’d treat with extra nitrogen. Extra N now would keep it too leafy and slow the finish. If you want to do anything, a light Cal-Mag or a pinch of Epsom is the safer add-on in case a little magnesium is mixed in, but I wouldn’t chase nitrogen. Let the lower fans yellow and keep the water/pH steady unless the yellowing starts hitting the sugar leaves around the buds 🤷‍♂️ I'm in Windsor Ontario cheers.....just my $2 🍀🫡🇨🇦

this plant is hungry,.
a fade is a deficiency,.
fall fade is because of colder temps preventing nutrient uptake from the roots so she takes from her fans..

Howdy 🇨🇦 I agree to disagree here. Again a late-flower fade isn’t automatically a deficiency that needs correcting. During the final 4–6 weeks, cannabis naturally remobilizes mobile nutrients such as nitrogen from older fan leaves toward developing inflorescences, and research has documented normal senescence even in adequately fertilized plants.
Yes colder temperatures can reduce metabolic activity, root function and nutrient uptake, potentially producing deficiency-like symptoms even when nutrients are present in the root zone. But that doesn’t automatically mean “feed more”. You have to distinguish normal senescence from an actual deficiency before increasing nutrients.
Also, some plants can remain green and perfectly healthy right through harvest. That varies with genetics, cultivar and growing conditions. A lack of fade doesn’t prove the plant is better fed, just as pronounced fade doesn’t automatically prove deficiency. If the plant is otherwise healthy this late in flower, pushing additional nutrients simply because the fans are fading isn't necessarily beneficial....excessive nutrient supply can alter nutrient balance and plant chemistry without necessarily improving flower yield or quality. At that stage, you have to consider whether the potential benefit actually outweighs the risk ⚖️🤷‍♂️

ya you don’t feed lots in the colder temps that shouldn’t have to be explained when you know the colder temps are affecting the nutrient uptake but it’s not senescence either senescence is basically the start of death of the plant which doesn’t happen while buds are fattening and trichomes are ripening,. the colours of the fade can tell you what nutrients are being affected by the cold, usually yellowing, purpling and reddening all 3 npk but usually it’s the p the gets affecting first,..
yes genetics are the main factor in what outdoor plants stay healthy and green or not, plants that are easily affected by the stresses of nature are weaker genetics and are more susceptible to nutrient issues, mildew, mold, pest, etc and how early they occur in the grow,.
this is why you’ll never or rarely see an equatorial strain fade near harvest in the countries their grown in,..
you can manipulate the ph to create colour in the leafs,.

I might give it a couple hits of organic fungicide. I recently got screwed. Plant started to turn yellow and I automatically felt it was lack of nutes. I’m growing in a 5 gal bucket sip. Well it wasn’t lack of nutes, it was the plant getting some kind of fungus infection in the roots. Bottom line…I could have treated it for both much earlier. As it stands now I have to harvest early and will get maybe 25% yield vs if the plants were healthy.

Exactly. 💯 Other than that, the plant looks healthy. People are always trying to correct something, and sometimes they end up screwing things up without even realizing it. Unless you have access to a lab and can actually determine what's going on, a lot of it is educated guessing.

That's why experience plays such a huge role. If the plant is otherwise healthy and there's no clear evidence of a problem, sometimes the best thing you can do is leave it alone and give it time. Could you potentially get a bigger harvest by making a correction? Possibly. But you could just as easily make the wrong correction and end up with a much smaller harvest. 🤷‍♂️

His plants were harvested about three years ago! Loadies!😂🍻 but a lot of good information there if anyone ever sees it!😍
