Feel pretty lucky I didn't really let on how bad I was off cause even I didn't know till the end. When they discharged me I had a sit down with the surgeon. Apparently I had lost over 40% of my blood into my chest before the surgery. No one is sure how I was still conscious or breathing much less alive at that point. Feeling pretty lucky to be here after that whole experience and definitely glad it's behind me.

If I hadn't been on full drip fluids the pain killers should have OD'ed me at that much loss and I was still chatting with nurses and family XD dr and surgeon were scratching their heads when they found out lol

from what i was told in my little 3 week stay in ICU on drip.. is as long as you are in pain, you wont OD. so they hit me hard with whatever they had.. was never enough only reli8fe i ever got was going under the knife. ( of course it hurt worse after i woke up from the knife tho.. they did not even bother to sew me up for 3 weeks.. just kept it open and some kind of beads inside the open trama. it sucked i do not recommend it. hha.

hope things are going well for ya dismorning.
chris.

but when i was crawling for help i sure saw a lot of crazy shit.. i remember seeing these scribbles on the side of a clay bend.. i thought it was indian art, hah.. also saw this huge telescop im like fuck yeah im coming back for that.. was just a dead fall. ( down tree ). hah about the only party of my accident i can think of that makes me laughs.. i saw some crazy shit.. even the a baby deer showing me to lick the grass for a few tea spoons of water. hah. crazy shit what the human brain will do to survive. its just built into us..

so yeah man i saw some crazy shit which to this day i can still laugh about. hah.

So good news is the surgery seems succesful. They got 1000 cc of blood out of the body cavity around the lungs.

My Battle buddy was a corman, I made the mistake of asking him about a close friend of ours and the descriptions he gave of the blood in the lungs was "it reaked of death" , this hits home for me, because although i was a cardiovascular MONSTER for the first 29 yrs of my life, I am 6 '3", 195 lbs, and thats skinny, I'm actually glad you have described the process in your posts, because i was horrified when i first read what happened! Super psyched your up and doing better man!
