Still hoping you’ll chime in with your substrate choice, if this is just coco perlite and you aren’t adding any nutrients to day 21 that would be awesome. But it seems to be to good to be true

Well 5 of 6 have sprouted . How long can I reasonably keep them under the dome ?

The first six have started showing pistils. When do you guys and gals recommend switching to flowering spectrum?

Well in case anyone cares I solved my humidity woes. Purchased a 3 disc fogger from house of hydro . Installed a float valve on a 5 gallon bucket and ran a small waterline from the unused bathroom next door. Never again will I have to worry about refilling a humidifier Rez also the 3 disc is capable of getting Rh up to 99% with a 400 cfm fan running on the low setting

I just transplanted my 4 newer seedlings into the new tent. The soil in all 4 solo cups broke apart quite a bit upon transplant. I thought their root ball was a bit more extensive. I’m sure I stunted them all and I’m wondering if they will even be worth growing out or if I should just pop some new beans? Anyone had a bad transplant of autos that turned out ok ??

I don’t exactly have pics of the broken root ball as I got them into the soil real quickly after it happened. Here they are potted up though

What’s your opinion. Pull em and replant or leave em in and see where we are at in a week

Sorry I'm a hydro man. I will leave that discussion to @Aqua mana and some of the other soil folks. Have not done soil since HS many, many, many years ago... lol. 🍻

Yeah but I wouldn’t say they are big lol. I’ve struggled with overwatering . I’m actually pretty disappointed with the whole lot of em right now. It sucks too. The reason I started these other ones off in solo cups was to make watering them a bit easier but then I went and fucked up the transplant

Well whether or not these ones make it I’m starting 4 more replacements as a just in case scenario. That way I’m not to far behind. Saw this idea on another forum for transplanting autos. Literally just pull the inner cup out and bury it cup and all. We will see how it works out. I’m really just burning through these beans but fuck it

They seem small are they miniaturized because of too much light?

Why do you think you're having over watering issues?

Why don't you leave them in the solo cup for 3 to 4 weeks until they get bigger?

I wasn’t aware to much light could miniaturize a plant. I’m intrigued. Are you suggesting the intensity of the light or the duration that it’s on could be causing it? I am running 20/4. On my other 4 I’m doing 18/6

I started these seeds in their final pots because they were autos. The medium is coco/perlite. I pretty well saturated the soil every 3-4 days because everything I’ve read and heard is it was impossible to overwater in coco. Well I don’t think that applies to seedlings because these ladies were clearly overwatered for a good portion of their first few weeks.

I was hesitant to leave the second set of beans in solo cups much longer for fear of them becoming root bound and stunting the plant ( autos ) well hindsight is 2020 but it probably would have stunted them less than the fiasco I had last night

I’ve started 4 more As replacements to the 4 I just transplanted, if needed. If i end up not needing to replace any I might get a 4 2 gallon smart pots and tinker with a diy drip system for them

Suppose I’ll leave a little update. The 4 transplants have finally started growing some so I guess that shock set them back about 5 or 6 days. 🤕. That’s ok I have 4 more that have Germinated and 3 of them are starting to show their cotyledons. Gonna let them dry out properly this time. I bought 5, 2 gallon smart pots that I’ll grow them out in. The original 5 are starting to flower. The issue was definitely overwatering. Whoever says you can’t overwater in coco/perlite hasn’t tried hard enough 😂. I’ve actually turned the autopot reservoir off and they’ve been drying out for about 6 days. They are perking up and look quite a bit happier. I’ve trained the hell out of them so the 10 or so tops on each plant have 100% unrestricted access to light. Hoping I might actually be able to get a worthwhile yield off them. I may turn the Rez back on when they are in full flower mode but I might just top water for the rest of their lives. We’ll see. Ordered some 3 gal smart pots and some hubbabubbahaze from mephisto. Depending on how my seedlings in the new insta transfer solo cups do I’ll probably start the hubbabubba in a month or 2. I want to see how the diy solo cup works, mephisto are pricey. My plan is to actually replace the stock autopot and run the 3 gal fabric pots in the autopot tray . I guess this turned into a large update 🤷‍♂️

Looks like the yellowing on one of them could be from the coco drying though? Not a good idea to let them dry they should be able to handle being soaked at that age. Hope you go back to using the auto pots I've heard good things and have considered using them myself
