Disaster has struck. I would not wish the spider mite menace on anyone as they are terrible and so hard to fully kill off. I almost did a total tear down and burned it all. But cooler heads prevailed and I really wanted to finish som of what I have going on in there.
In the end only the real old SFV and the super infected Blue Dream got tossed, im hoping with trimming and spraying I can safe the rest.
So I begin the 9-12 process of killing off the mites. I have my three products and I’ll mix up a fourth from dish soap and isopropyl. Like other parasites and bugs there are always some in the population that are immune to at least one of the killing agents, and that fucker will lay eggs, so multi day, multi product eradication plan.
Started with the plant therapy yesterday, neem oil today, mite be gone tomorrow, and soap mix on Tuesday, then repeat the rotation twice if not three times.
Push through the hard times, and grow on,

Feel your pain brother. I've got those little critters and you are correct, they are a PITA.

I spray weekly with Dr Zymes, not saying it will get mites but it will show me when the webs are starting before I can see them with just my eyes. Hit them with GrowSafe when there's web's. Like any product you need to hit them 2 times, 3 days apart to break the lifecycle. There's no magic potion but this regimen keeps things under control

Best of luck

Omg 😲 that plant was suffering I bet something was attacking the roots as well.

Sorry dude! Hoping your salvage prevails and you get a bit of smoke! I just hit my girls with jacks a couple days ago. ✌️

Oh man, that's bad news @Greenjourneyman!

Really hope you get them eradicated asap, after all your bloody hard work. Sending bad vibes to all those mites! 🀬

50% strength iso is all you need,.. cover your medium to prevent isopropyl getting into it..

The iso blast is effective. ☠️

Covering your medium is very important. It will kill the good stuff in your soil.

I’ve lathered up my fingers with an ISO water mix. manipulated leaves before lights out in small indoor plants. Good luck ✌️

yes it cannot get into soil it’ll kill/damage roots,. and i’m busy to help with recovery,..

Oh I know. I dealt with a real vicious infestation at an apartment I lived in about 6 years back. But I did forget some stuff and have dived back into the research.
I am four days into the removal process, or rather starting the fourth day. No more adults on any of the leaves that I can see. There were some larva / protonymphs yesterday, but they got iso bombed. Up to using the green clean, tomorrow I’ll start back at the beginning with the plant therapy. One eggs around right now. Im posed and ready to fuck up those hatchlings.
Have a great day all.

Here’s a step-by-step method to help you remove spider mites from your cannabis plants within a 12-square-foot indoor growing space in 7 days:

Day 1: Initial Inspection and Cleaning

  1. Inspect Plants: Carefully examine your cannabis plants for signs of spider mites, such as tiny dots on leaves, webbing, or yellowing leaves1.
  2. Prune Infested Areas: Remove and dispose of heavily infested leaves and stems to reduce the mite population2.
  3. Water Spray: Use a strong jet of water to wash off as many spider mites as possible. Focus on the undersides of leaves where they tend to hide2.

Day 2: Neem Oil Treatment

  1. Prepare Neem Oil Solution: Mix neem oil with water according to the product instructions. Add a few drops of dish soap to help the solution stick to the leaves2.
  2. Spray Plants: Thoroughly spray the neem oil solution on all parts of the plants, especially the undersides of the leaves2.

Day 3: Monitoring and Environmental Control

  1. Check Humidity and Temperature: Maintain a humidity level of around 60% and keep the temperature below 80Β°F. Spider mites thrive in hot, dry conditions1.
  2. Increase Airflow: Use fans to improve air circulation around your plants, making the environment less favorable for spider mites1.

Day 4: Soapy Water Treatment

  1. Prepare Soapy Water Solution: Mix a few drops of mild dish soap in water.
  2. Spray Plants: Spray the soapy water solution on the plants, focusing on the undersides of the leaves2.

Day 5: Rubbing Alcohol Treatment

  1. Prepare Rubbing Alcohol Solution: Mix 1 cup of rubbing alcohol with 4 cups of water in a spray bottle2.
  2. Spray Plants: Spray the rubbing alcohol solution on the plants, ensuring thorough coverage2.

Day 6: Natural Predators

  1. Introduce Predatory Mites: Release predatory mites like Phytoseiulus persimilis into your growing space. These beneficial insects feed on spider mites and can help control their population2.

Day 7: Final Inspection and Maintenance

  1. Inspect Plants: Conduct a thorough inspection to check for any remaining spider mites1.
  2. Repeat Treatments if Necessary: If you still see signs of spider mites, repeat the neem oil or soapy water treatment2.
  3. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep your growing area clean and monitor your plants regularly to prevent future infestations2.

By following these steps, you should be able to significantly reduce or eliminate spider mites from your cannabis plants within a week. Regular monitoring and preventive measures are key to keeping your plants healthy. Do you have any other questions or need further assistance?

Damn I have to say the all this AI shit has made access to information sooo easy. Why are the nubbies asking any questions at all. We should all just say, ask copilot.
I remember having to get library gardening books and other physical resources.

β€”β€”
Although remember kiddos it takes a human brain to critically think and synthesize said information into a plan of action, and it takes human motivation to see it though, don’t rely too heavily on the glorified toasters.

that’s a lot of unnecessary work,.
use 99% isopropyl at 50% strength, cover the medium and bag, NO iso in medium,. 2-3 spray downs within a week and your good to go.. the 50% iso kills everything, all stages of life,..
the thing is, where are they coming from?? pets, you, etc…
i think this AI crap is creating more problems than helping..

There are a lot of ways to combat spider mites but let me share why I don't have a problem with them anymore and never will again ...

AgroMagen GrowSafe Biopesticide. Safe to use seedling/clone through harvest. 100% organic, simple ingredients. A little pricey! But worth every damn penny, I swear by it!

One, maybe two applications is all you will need. Won't burn your plants, won't kill honeybees if used outdoors. Even kills eggs, and not many products can say that. Seriously, stop fucking around and get this stuff it's what I like to call the nuclear option. 🀣 https://www.amazon.com/Bio-Pesticide-All-Natural-Insecticide-Pesticide-Better-Insects-Non-Phytotoxic/dp/B07PH46H8K/ref=sr_1_3?crid=9E9WW8DUL0D7&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.iDue6-osx-_9KeyIXecuW06DwQGTibr5z4Fn0GjYhf_EGmz2uEQMC2KuI2avJSDszmI6uEawlepH1jq9-lhnO6pHEvuzrb4XqTe57zdW2lUeaDp3aAnMOe0yvqtJ1SgnXll4AraVzcrUPxqGETgvp1yRXqE6CJzLIXmKP4IZKpc.hIYlg1Hau8n_fiMDG12OZ_g2J0xNLB7eiGAqE38O5hY&dib_tag=se&keywords=agromagen&qid=1724158713&sprefix=Agromagen,aps,385&sr=8-3

EUR231.82 😲 there's no smaller ones? 🀣

Well a week or so on and all those fuckers are dead. At least this entire wave. No nymphs adults or eggs spotted in two days or so.
However the plants did suffer. We lost a few of the smaller ones. Not sure if it was too rich of a Green Clean or the ISO/ dis soap combo but something bombed the plants and the bugs. Collateral damage I guess. Now the road to plant reach very. Did I some transplants this morning and we’ll see how things improve.
Keep growing,

Looks like damage from the alcohol. It happens. On the level, though, if you can, get yourself a small bottle of that stuff I recommended earlier. You won't regret it, and I wouldn't bullshit you, it's the best option I have found in 25+ years of growing cannabis. Truly. 🀠 πŸ‘Š

The veg tent is doing much better than the last time we posted.
All the mites are gone, and all he plants have recovered from the iso poisoning. The Blue Dream and the Black Domina clones have been transplanted and are looking much better than they were just a week ago.
Last two pictures are the SFV and MzJillz x Golden Nugget clones.
Gore that fire ya’ll
