that is some real sticky canopy. You don’t use a screen at all do you? Just the tie down method?

Idk why the one pic uploaded twice but w/e lol :) The shapes are kind of funny. Each plant basically is different. And so you cut to their strengths. The goal is to keep the height down on strains where it is possible and long and low to the dirt when it's not. Personally I like the mini bush/tree style best. But then I get obnoxious with bonsai wire and twist and bend the dog snot out of them like you couldn't normally do with pipe cleaners and tie downs on others that really have no shape to define. The mother plant part is a fun trim every 2 weeks. They grow so damned fast that it's not like bonsai on a desert rose where you take a snip or 2 every six months. They get root trimmed every 4 weeks and top trimmed every 2. Anyway it works for me. This grow isn't about a frantic pace to get them to bud. It's about getting 21 strains of stable bonsai mothers for clone and pappas for pollen if relevant. This first aero clone run is a huge test of what I can look forward to in the future sort of. It's easier to root out a side shoot than a thick ass topped stalk. But we'll have to see how they end up. I've got some plants that are full size, outside that are in flower now. Strains: Auto - Monster Kush, Super 90, Purple Headband, Greenheadband. And I'm collecting pollen from an Auto 105. Photos: Squirt, Purple Mountain Majesty, and White Widow. The clones are going into bonsai flower production when they are ready. Since winter is coming and I'm out of time for outdoor stuff after what I've got going now, temps and space are both going to become a factor that I have to deal with. So for the variety I want, there is no other way to go than bonsai :) BSG can grow the monsters. I'll grow the little ankle biters lol :D

And what will a bonsai clone yield you again? 15-30g?

Hah! No clue. Anytime I’ve flowered one in the past, it got stuck in a 5g grow bag and vegged for 4 weeks and then flowered like a normal plant. All the rules say the WW should be spitting popcorn, not rock hard nugs. It should be all stretched. And over reactive to nutes. But none of that happened. I switched over to the 4 phase seablast nutes for cost and performance.

The one thing I’ve noticed is that tap root trimming techniques used in traditional bonsai work WELL on cannabis to limit height. And monthly root trims and repotting in a bottom layer of fresh soil keeps their uptake solid. I’d like to see 28 to 56gr out of a 6 to 8 cola bonsai. Lofty goals and I doubt most strains will yield that much.

But consider this. I only need a max of 2ft height. That means I can go 4 levels in height with lights mounted to the underside of each shelf. 15 of these fit under a 4x2. And I can go T5HO for a lot less than led. HPS and MH because of heat are non starters. LEDs won’t work because of the 18 to 30 inch rule.

So if I can get an ounce per plant dry on 15 strains? Heh heh that would be epic. Can’t even imagine that. Well I can but...

Had so much shit going on with the crash pain not being able to move sister going into labour misses crashed so apologies for the blip but shit thats life

Can i be honest this is my third grow EVER an i think iv just hit it on the head with the setup neuts an seeds so far

An being unsure of the personal limitations over here even this bring on the mental health issues. I'm not a dealer etc i just want my own clean smoke.

So basically I'm blessed that this has gone this way not south

The IWS flood an drain system is the key to be honest never have an issues with deficiency or anything so thats what iv found works with my way of growing an also I dont use anywhere near the neuts they say to use so god knows how big they will really get.

But I have been growing since 1987 play on words

Research what your attempting to grow an you cant go wrong!
